just booked here for august, got a great price for 3 nights and that was the deal breaker. I know its non smoking but for location it seems spot on, anyone stayed recently and is it as good as it appears.

Bumping this to find out if anyone's been there recently. I can get a deal on this that's pretty good, but I a few things bother me. They're officially non-smoking, but as we all know, this means anything from a nod and a wink to out on your ear with a fine, so where on the spectrum are they?

Also, four-star ratings seem to be based on some very arbitrary things. Air-conditioning and a lift are nice to have, if not essential; a fridge would be good if it weren't for the reviews saying that if you breathe on something from the minibar, you'll be charged for it; things like ice machines and trouser presses are, frankly, silly. And yet they say that they only clean your once a week, which is unusual, and also contradicted by reviews that say the cleaners rudely barge in. So does anyone know what it's actually like now?

Well, I've booked it, given that the last en suite single at the good old Abba had gone by the time I'd dithered, and it's cheaper in any case.

But I'd always said what I prize in a hotel is the freedom to smoke and a breakfast included, as both of those set me up for the day. And this fails on both counts. Still, it's something new.

(Of course, I'm still wondering about whether it's possible to have a cheeky pipe out the window...)

The window opens about an inch at the top, so no. Nor do I particularly fancy getting chucked out and fined 150 euro for the privilege. So it goes. Well, nothing's perfect. And I did get it cheaper than the usual Abba-type deal.

Just got back from a stay at this hotel. Definitely a good deal for the price. Basic room only lacking a coffee/tea maker. Nice full bathroom included. Approximately one block from Andalucia, Bushdoctor, and the Saint. BTW, my room's window opened all the way, but I'm not big on smoking in the room when its a really short walk to multiple coffeeshops.
