The brief was to bring some food that could be consumed cold..... that's tough.
I went for seared fillet of beef salad.
A lovely piece of tail end fillet , brushed with horseradish and crusted with crushed black peppercorns and atlantic sea salt, seared in pan only slightly cooler than the lava that consumed Pompei.
Served with a wild rocket, water cress and parmesan salad dressed with Dr G's secret recipe dressing (eat your heart out Paul Newman).
The interview went swimingly and the plate was consumed like a stoner that hadn't eaten for a week...... If I don't make it to the show it won't be for my skill with a pan and a knife, it'll just be me, which I'm pretty cool with, at least for the first time in my life I've impressed 2 total strangers with my cuisine....... awesome endorphine reward.
Off for a pat on the back J now kiddies....... in the imortal words of Mr Brown..... "I feel Good!"
