Maybe it's just in the UK then.
Alcopops are very sweet, brightly coloured alcoholic drinks...... Among the first were "Two Dogs" and "Hooch" which were billed as Alcoholic lemonade.
There are a whole mirriad of em now, Smirnof Ice, WKD, Bacardi Breezer, Reef and all those crap drinks that coat your teeth with sugar on the first sip.
Being a nation of young drinkers we Brits took to them like Dennis Leary to a packet of filterless cigs.

Oh I just didnt know what you meant, we have all those sweet drinks and then some. I dont really like artificially sweetend drinks because they give you a nearly automatic hangover and they hurt my stomach. "K" is different because it has less refined sugar and more natural flavor. "K" is the type of drink that will get you trashed before you realize it.
How old are you?Being a nation of young drinkers we Brits took to them like Dennis Leary to a packet of filterless cigs.

If a bar sells Stella on draught then that's what I'll be drinking all the time I'm in that bar.
Failing that, Fosters (especially new Super Chilled) and Carling always hit the spot.
Rarely see Stella Artois abroad and in this case I stick to the beer of the country I am visiting (Netherlands=Heineken, Spain=San Miguel/Estrella Damm)
Never buy bottled beers in a bar (always pints) and always buy cans (any of the above) if I'm having a session at home (which is rare)

Heineken is not one of my favs, but the time I bought a case of Heineken it tasted like crap, it could have been old though. I live in a smaller town about 11,000 people, and sometimes they liqour stores stock up on everything and in the process dont sell very many European brews, so some get to be about a year old, uugghhh nasty horrid rotten brew. It just made me never want another Heineken in my life, I will probably give it another go in the Netherlands where it will be fresh. I am ver picky about the freshness of my beer, last weed I got some Bud LIght that was two days old, that brew was top notch, and was the smoothest beer I'd ever had. Freshness is key to smoothness anyone else agree?[/code]
