Vinkeles at the Dylan Hotel has a great menu 8) The Five Flies is nice too, but Vinkeles might just have made it to the top of my list now.

Cheers mate

I would suggest Tibetaanse restaurant Tibet at Lange Niezel 24. It is just around the corner from the Old church in the RLD.

i have spent 3 valentines days in amsterdam , 1 of which i proposed to mrs.cheese. it can be an awesome time/place to spend with a lady friend.

if you want to go all out... check out this for something to do.. you will blow her away. the captains are very nice, it is smoker friendly and you even have a bar and you can drink and smoke and check out the city all at the same time.. oh yeah and its romantic. i proposed to the mrs on one of there boats.

for food it really depends on what your budget is and wha type of food your looking for.. 1 that i really like and its not overly priced is called Casa Di David.. its an italian restaurant in the spui. They are authentic and out of 10 visits to this restaurant i have never been disapointed. i can assure you that you will not be disapointed.

february can be a beautiful time in amsterdam, i have had trips where it was 10-15 and sunny the whole trip... i have had a few cold rainy days as well.

another cool restaurant is a asian fusion place called momo. its near the museum district and it is quite trendy. the atmosphere is happening and the food was outstanding. i will be hitting this place up on my next trip for sure.

oh one more suggestion for maybe another day of your trip.... try eat at joe's in the leidseplein ... amazing food at a very fair price. they change there menu everyday and many "home cooked" type meals. probably not the most romantic but like i said maybe good for another day of your trip.. last time i was there it was cash only

't Fornuis
Utrechtsestraat 33
Amsterdam
020-6269139

Found this gem near the Rembrantplein. Good French food with some Dutch influence. Best duck I have had for ages.

Meal for 2 plus wine was about 85 euros.

Twenty Third Bar atop the Hotel Okura would be a nice place for a drink before heading off to the airport.

Cafe Wenders on Prinsengracht - typical dutch brown cafe/bistro sort of place, reminds of french bistros you'd find around the Bastille in Paris... but Dutch

Pastini on Leidsegracht - Italian, very small, very very good food, gorgeous location on corner of two canals, lots of boats passing etc...

Casa Peru on corner of Prinsengracht and Leidsegract, opposite corner down the road from Pastini, lovely unique place, nice food, great cosmo atmosphere
