Trip and smoke report from November 9th-15th......

Post by excitableone »

i had been debating going back to Amsterdam again and had been looking
up prices doing the normal pretrip planning, I mentioned this to a few friends at work and two buddies Rob &
Terry both showed the most interest, I asked that if they were serious to have the airfare money within 2 weeks..
To my surprise they both had the money within a week...Just a Quick mention, both of these fellas are Amsterdam
rookies and Terry is more of a drinker than a smoker and Rob is more on my level, not much of a drinker and going
more to enjoy the freedoms of the Netherlands....

Monday November 8th, 2010......

The adventure begins over at my house, Rob and Terry met up over at my pad for a Quick session before
the flight and more importantly for my travel pals to meet my little Sister..Flights go off without a hitch we all made
it through security with no problems and off to Amsterdam we went.....Vegas to Memphis, then over the pond we
went...

Tuesday November 9th, 2010.......

We arrive at Schiphol and find our way over to the customs hall then head over to purchase tickets for the
train, i use the windows and find it much easier than the machines... We also each made our first withdraws
from the a.t.m....Tickets in hand we go to the train platform and off we go again....Once we arrived at Central
Station i called the apartment owner and informed her we arrived liked asked, she said she'd be there in a few
minutes...We skipped going up Damrak and just cut over to Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal walking past Soup Kitchen
and landing at our place within just a few minutes....The owner gave a brief tour of the place explaining how to lock
the doors, use a few things, etc....She gave us our keys and receipt and it was now officially our place for 6
full nights!!!! We had discussed going to Barney's to try blue cheese first but instead skipped over Spuistraat
and headed to the Grey Area...Walk in to see a table available so i give Terry our stuff and have him sit at the table
while Rob and I went shopping...I was already armed with a few strains i knew of that had peaked my interest
reading other people's reports and watching Blueberry's videos..As i glanced over the menu i didn't see Casey
Jones which kinda sucked but Kuchi and L.A Women were both winking at me..I ordered 2 grams of Kuchi
and attempted to order some kif(crystals) but was told none were in stock BUMMER!!!! I grabbed a bong and
went over to join Terry while Rob did his shopping...Rob came back with Loozas and some Big Budda Cheese,
and L.A Confidential, NICE JOB my friend....We loaded the bong up with some Kuchi and began what would become
an epic smoking adventure....We killed a couple bowls each of Kuchi and then loaded up some L.A Con which
totally cut through the not so strong Kuchi, this stuff had some kick!! The L.A Con while doing karate chops to my
brain cells somehow managed to communicate to my legs to get up and head out, funny enough it did the same
thing to both my travel buds...It was a pretty easy choice on where was next, blue cheese vapo hits at Barney's...
It was probably around 2pm when we were walking up Singel I pointed out Amnesia and Siberie when out of
the blue my buddy Terry is struck by a truck!!!!!!! NO JOKE!! He was facing down singel on the sidewalk when a
trucks mirror clipped his left side...I WAS LAUGHING MY ASS OFF and preying my photo happy friend Rob was
filming...Not to be, Terry's moment was not to become a YouTube upload sadly....I had placed wagers before leaving
on whether or not one of my AmsterVirgins would be struck down by a bike, car, tram, or any other moving vehicle
so i now must remember who to collect from...Back to the story, We make the left down Harrlemmerstraat and again
i point out all the places we'll be eventually going to..The walk to Barney's is quick and we are at the dealers counter
in no time..Rob and I had already planned on getting the Blue Cheese so we ordered 3 grams of that, i asked to see
some of the hashes and I fell in love with the temple balls oily, shiny, and a very perfumy smell....Grabbed a table
with a volcano and the waitress gave us the rest needed...We all got drinks and began the Blue Cheese tasting with
vapo hits as i rolled a spliff with some temple ball...What a great first foreign hash for my friends, it has the taste of
great hash and it was a nice cerebral high mixed with the blue cheese... During this session our not so much of a
smoker Terry got up and purchased 3 grams of Red Diesel, which at first glance and under the influence of a blue
cheese overdose looked really nice, so i rolled up another spliff of Terry's first purchase and let him spark that
bad boy up....All i ever said of this crap was, "SPICY" i never said it was good, stony, nothing!!! Yet somehow through
the week as it sat on our table collecting dust and not being smoked i was reminded how i had raved over it on day
one!!! I stand by what i say, PURE CRAP!!!!!! So into Popeye's i go looking over the menu but only hearing my friend
Blueberry's voice with that amazing southern twang," get the pink kush" Easy decision even at 15 euro a gram..
2 grams please!!! The dealer picked out a FAT nugget of love and placed it in a baggie for us, gave the man 32
euro and headed out!! Tipping the dealers which i always do only pays off in the end, i always get taken care of
and usually get some nice freebies!! Being a bartender myself it's also part of who i am, i tip damn near everyone!
Anyways i knew the boys needed to see the whole Damrak freak show, and i was in a munchie cotton mouth coma,
off to Manneken Pis for a small with satay sauce....OH MY GOD!!!! Satay sauce and frites are just the perfect
combo for a stoner with munchie coma kicking in hard, but it's still not enough!!!! FEBO FEBO FEBO!!!!! I plink
my 2 euro coin into the change machine and get the necessary coinage for my LONG overdue Kaassoufflee...
I scoped out the one i wanted and plink plink plink it was in my hand....I know I know I know a lot of people
frown on Febo, but you people have ZERO clue to what your missing, i can still feel my arteries clogging as i type
this almost 2 weeks later....YUM!!! We head back up toward Teasers to which i explain to my friend is Amsterdam's
version of Hooters here in the States..He was sold but not tonight!!! Into 420 cafe we go and Rob and i proceed to
be blown away by the quality nugs they had today...Wow even the cheaper buds looked amazing, i ended up getting
3 grams of blueberry and Rob got a couple grams each of Super Silver Haze and Neville's haze...We grabbed a table
and Terry and i got white coffees while JR got a hot cocoa...The dealer heated the vape up for us and we had a great
vape session with the SSH, while i rolled up some mix spliffs and a pure blueberry...With dinner hunger kicking in
i suggested to the boys we go to Soup Kitchen which they both agreed with instantly...We cut through the alleys
to our street and came right up on Soup Kitchen....EXCELLENT DECISION ON MY PART!!!!! This dinner was off the
charts good, we all 3 got something different and it was all good.. I had a zesty tomato soup with dark bread and i
gotta say it was one of the best soups i've ever eaten, and i LOVE SOUP!!!!! Right up the street to our apartment is
Albert Hein so we went shopping for things we needed...Rob and I headed over to the Hemp Shopper to purchase
a bong for the room then headed over to Homegrown Fantasy for vanilla cakes and some skuff they had on the menu,
Rob also purchased some Jack Herer...The session that followed back at the apartment lasted a few hours while we
watched Dutch t.v and consumed massive amounts of weed and hash!!!!!! Great first day!!!!

kaassoufflee is best described as a giant fried cheese pocket...It's actually really light and not overly filling, a perfect snack...

I believe tangerine dream is the cup entry and they didn't have it on the menu while i was there...Barney's actually had a lot of shake during my trip, look at the blue cheese pics.. I think a few shops were holding back for the cup, which was a shame but didn't ruin the experience...

Im really liking the reviews on 420's SSH as well...it may be a contender for the first smoke when i arrive in the morning....at the moment im thinking either mexican or g-13 haze from dampkring.....

It'll more than likely be on the menu permanently as soon as the cup is over.

Barneys is usually pretty consistent mate so you can probably count on a good crop when you visit.
