Just booked this hotel for my trip next month. Will be my 3rd time staying here, not as luxurious as other places i've stayed but the rooms are clean and its in a great location, warmoestraat(sp) right next to hunters...and i've never had a problem smoking either...
anyone else stayed here before?

Have stayed there a couple of times. The rooms really vary in quality but quality overall is decent and location can't be beat. The best room is the one they use for disabled guests at the back. Great for smoking and very roomy.
How much did you produce?

Stayed here on my last few visits. Good price for the location and always had decent size rooms. The rooms are a bit dated and basic but clean and comfortable, just what I want for a smoking base. Never had a problem smoking here with nice big windows. Also has a lift for those times when your stoned legs forget how stairs work.

Stay here most times I go to Amsterdam nowadays, and I'd highly recommend it if your budget allows. Its not at the cheaper end of the market but you definitely get great value for money considering its location. A word re the rooms - they had the entire place tarted up about a year ago and all the rooms now are very good quality, well decorated and with new beds and furniture. The downside is this means the hotel is now no-smoking throughout, although the staff (who are always very 'helpful' in the Dutch sense of the word!) have no problem with you smoking pot in their cordoned off smoking area near reception. They also got rid of the 'escort' brochures in each room so I presume it's no longer cool to ring for a hooker on room service (not my thing personally but I thought it worth mentioning
)
Also has 24-hour reception/bar and a decent eat-as-much-as-you-want breakfast buffet for 8 euros.

It's so easy to laugh, it's so easy to hate - it takes guts to be gentle and kind...
