It's the exchange rate and the cost airfare that gets me every time. I think they should bring back the Guilder, those were the good old days.

bag of weed at the bluebird used to be 12.50 guilder ($6.25) now 12.50 euro ($17.85) :(

Then factor in munchies for the coach travel to and from the bus station and whatever expenses there are it's actually not that much of a bargain (sorry for sounding so negative it's just I have personally done the trip)
Yup, I have sleepeze and I generally am a very heavy sleeper. I have done 15-18 hour coach journeys before and it's not too bad. Bring a sandwhich, some pepsi and crisps and its sorted. And I get half price travel from the train station up to London so it's about £1.50. Then I have a friend in the Dam who's meeting me and my partner so free travel there. All in all looking about maybe another £10 extra tops.

£56 return on Eurolines from Victoria to Amstel. Book the night coaches each way, smoke a couple of fat joints before boarding at each end, sleep through the journey. Only problem is dealing with the frenchies on both sides. Aside from that, our coach driver was selling damn good Belgian beer for a euro and I managed to pick up a pair of skullcandy headphones on the ferry for half price. Not so bad really!

My latest flight cost me $903. I could have a kick ass trip if I lived in the UK.

It all depends how you travel; the cheapest being the Coach from London since you don't pay so many taxes, but it's possible to get trains all the way there, or Rail and Sail Packages, or low cost flights with most carriers. Some people drive there, but the fuel costs would put me off making the drive.

$340/person from ES to dam; that's round trip and in USD. Then tack on just south of $600 for hotel in dam and that's an expensive trip.

For November $906 + SWU to upgrade to BusinessFirst. Just waiting for that to clear, if not at least I get Economy+ for free.
