I even learned how to develop and print b&w film, which is thankfully now left behind.. no more smelly chemicalscisco wrote:Your a great photographer Bleak have you undertaken any professional training ?

Ahh, so that is the famous Verdamper. I've heard of it but never seen one. Looks like fun. Are there other shops besides Anyday that have them available for use?bleak wrote:Its a Verdamper, a Dutch vaporizer. Its a combination of things...carlazi wrote:How do you get the colours so rich in your photos? Is it using photoshop or just the camera/light setting?
On the camera, knowing how to use the white balance, and shooting in RAW instead of JPG both have the potential to improve the color quite a bit (once you've learned how to process RAW files)
In photoshop I usually increase the contrast slightly, add sharpening, sometimes adjust the exposure, just the basics. The photo has to be good to begin with, photoshop is just the final polish.
The most important thing is when and where you take the photo, and finding really interesting subject matter that other people will want to see.
