Dosanges life story will be a best selling book by next fall, and by the year after an oscar nominated film.
Hopefully all that attention will keep him from being assasinated.

Why on earth would anyone bother Iko, he's a busted flush? Even his pals in wikkiworld think he's a complete knob who liked the spotlights and the groupie's too much. Sweden has a sound judicial system, why doesn't he just get on a plane and face the music if there is any to be faced?
And Colina, you say he's changed the world. How? At the end of the day I tell you we will be saying "is that it then?" It's just tittle tattle between diplomats, worthless rubbish, but enough for him to impress a few unworldly folks. I dont know you and that may sound as though I am judging your knowledge of the world and your understanding of realpolitic but I'm not doing that, this is just my impression of the man and his very limited and I believe fleeting whizz across our horizons. Spare a thought, and save your sympathy and concern for the poor little PFC who really is likely to have seen his last bit of sunlight for many years.
Oh and what happened to the cyberfreaks who promised to bring down the internet in retaliation? It ain't happened yet and I dont think it's likely to either, after all how would they be able to access their social security benefits and pensions without it I wonder.
"so sorry about your allowance son, I couldn't get my bank card to work" .

Blue skies, Spider.

I would not be in any hurry to face some trumped up bullshit charges, especially with USA polliticians saying he should be jailed indeffinately under the 9-11 act.

Well you may say they are trumped up bullshit charges man, but over this way alleged sexual violence against women is taken pretty seriously and Sweden isn't some banana republic that rolls over for the USA or anyone else for that matter. America does still have some power and influence but please, our judiciaries are still very independant of political interference. Just look at the amount of extradition requests that get turned down, especially political/terrorism cases.
And I'm still waiting for somebody to express a bit of sympathy for the little soldier boy who allegedly started the ball rolling.
J. Assange has actually all but trashed the wikkileaks group with his ego, now governments are feeding it all kinds of baloney and they dont know what to put out and most of us just ignore them. America is still pretty healthy man and it's enemies are not all liberators and freedom fighters as a few weeks in the front line would show you. Stop beating yourselves up your enemies love it.
Keep the music rolling iko, the taliban/AQ hate it. You have to fight the bastards, they are, in their repressive ideology just your average fascists

"our judiciaries are still very independant of political interference"

LOL, really, did you say that with a straight face ?
Because i almost spat my coffee across the table  .
You guys have been in a war for 10 years over WOMD that never existed and your telling me the States are not pulling your strings like a bad puppeteer ?
hmmmm

edit- i do think Dosange is an arrogant ass, but that is not the point.

iko you haven't got the full picture. our elected Governments/Politicians do the war thing. There's no veto for the judiciary, they can argue the legality 'till they're blue in the face and do post mortems for 50 years after but it's the Executive that press the button.
I'm sure you're not suggesting the way to beat a rap is to upset some polly's and then claim political asylum, thats a good one and I'm sure it's been done many times, but it ain't justice.
Right after all this broke my first reaction was like yours "it's a stitch up", but since then, because I am fascinated by all this stuff and I'm not blind to the fact that we aint the only nutters in this neighborhood I have informed myself about him and wikkileaks.com, I've listened to him, his supporters and detractors, being interviewed and decided for myself that rather like a lot of these charismatic individuals that pop up he's a phony and because of that in my book he's a dangerous f$*(<er.
Wikileaks however, is in theory a bloody good thing I'm sure, but in it's way it's power without accountability and thats what really unsettles me.
Anyway enough of this subject for me today mate, it's biryani time :D :D

Why would the woman who is charging him have invited him to carry on staying at her house for two weeks AFTER the incident ?
Look, if he's guilty of ANY sex crime that is sevearly fucked up and he should go to prison, its that simple.
His crime if he did commit a crime should not discredit wiki, its really that simple.

This is without a doubt the biggest load of bollocks i've heard in a while. How can we give the US government so much sway over what we subscribe to in our personal time.

Seriously i used to not really care about Wikileaks, like it's been said how do we know we can trust them as well? But just for this reaction i hope they post some damaging shit to the current administration that disgraces them out of office.

and had wikileaks been around in the 40's both America and Britain would have gotten nailed for things they did. see the allied fire bombings of Dresden and hamburg. very fucked up. thousands suffocated from the air that was sucked away from the fire storm and those that made it into air raid shelters were incinerated like they were in an oven from the surrounding fires.

and also to be fair americans also have a short memory. look at all the "hate" for the french making jokes about their military record and such, but fact is if it wasn't for them and their help during the revolution there may not be an america.
yeah indeed, the french supported americas revolution, bet alot of yanks dont realise the statue of liberty was a gift from france!
