Dutch experience

Post by den »

heres a tricky 1. I have just read a couple of articles about dutch style coffeeshops opening in britian. Main 1 i read about was dutch experience in stockport and dutch experience 2 in boscombe, Bournemouth. I remember a few years ago a guy opened up 1 in Edinburgh. Tommy sheridan mp was at the opening day. It didnt stay open very long..
Anyway I'm off 2 dorset for a few days next week, A wee break 2 recharge the batteries and was wondering if this dutch experience 2 was still operating. It would be good to visit if only out of curiosity. I've also read of courses you can go on to learn how 2 run a dutch style coffee shop. How cool.
Can anyone shed some light on this subject

Peace.

I think so far all of the attempts have been shutdown fairly quickly, its gotta be worth a look though I bet they wont be the last to try.

There was one in Rhyll which ran for a while as a coffeeshop with a members only section, but I think they got busted eventually too. The owner got caught growing weed on a fairly big scale for sure.

He is responsible for this Bud Buddies thing you may have heard of, they are lobbying for medical use to be legal. By doing this he has created a web of "buddies", mainly people with stuff like MS and arthritus. They all cry blue murder anytime one of them gets busted...saying its for medicinal use... yada yada yada. Oh by the way he sells them all weed and makes a few bob ;).
You missed it right?

The Dutch Experience in Stockport was a collaboration between Colin Davies and Nol van Shaik of Willie Wortel. Nol was also running courses for prospective coffeeshop owners.

I’ve moved this topic out of the reviews section.

I'd love to know what the course consisted of. ...

Syllabus for study;

Stage 1. How to throw out a junkie.
Stage 2. How to pre roll your own joints.
Stage 3. How to organise and manage the illegal buyin, sellin and growing of weed when you've saved a million euro, or so, to get the shop.
Stage 4. How to make a good cappuccino

.....wunder if ya get a certificate too!. :lol:
