De Klos is for carnivores only. The _only_ thing here for vegetarians is the baked potato, or the side salad which comes with the meal.

Ribs, chicken, lamb shank, there are probably 12 meat entrees.

This is a small place, cash only, and I normally sit at the bar.

The 'smoked ribs' are not really smoked, but are more of a grilled dry rub style of rib similar to The Rendezvous in Memphis TN. The rub is quite salty, be aware of this. The regular ribs are probably the way to go.

The chicken is also grilled with the skin on, very crispy and the underlying chicken is fabulous.

I normally start with the escargot, which is served in garlic butter. Use a bit of bread to soak up the butter but don't do too much else there will be no room for dinner.

The restaurant is a short walk from Leidseplein, back toward Centrum, and just off the Leidsestraat.

You want meat? Go to De Klos.
