Also, can some of you guys take some pictures of a coin at different magnifications (preferably 5 euro cents...the stars) I thought 400x would be much closer than the 200x I'm getting, but the pictures aint showing that. So it would be good to have something to ref scale between scopes.
But now we are going to end up with a thread full of close up coin shots

This is the inside of my grinder at 20x
and this is the inside of my grinder at 400x
DC, the microscope has a lens that moves very close to the subject matter and it isn't a digital zoom, however I only have the option of focusing on a 20x or 400x scale.. I would say you def have a great bit of kit and I might return this and get your one.
Cisco, i put the subject matter under the scope then adjust the zoom to focus at 20x and then wind the zoom right in to the focus point at 400x on these scopes you only have 2 focal lengths.

Cisco, mine has 3 lenses which you rotate into place depending what magnification you want, 10x 60x 200x. The weed is put on a platform under the lense and it moves when I focus.
Niz, mines definately a toy, 30 euro in aldi?

But I think the dedicated lenses do help. Plus some dramatic lighting, a horizontal low view point and some ridiculously large trichcromes do their part too.

Hey Cisco -
Looks like lots of amber on those shots, but I thought you go by the buds, not the leaves? I have leaves on my plants that look like yours, but the trichomes on the buds are not amber at all.

Yeah the leaves generally show amber before the buds, the only thing is who wants to chop buds to see if they're ready or not? might be worth investing in one of those handheld scopes like the 420 scope.
