ApartmentPaul
Re: ApartmentPaul
I liked H1 so much in March, that I've booked it for October.
Secure building, elevator, huge terrace. What's not to like?
Even Gapie liked it!!

Re: ApartmentPaul
The only thing that was funny, didn't really bother me that much but I stayed in and smoked from 7/8 to 1-2 am and you could here the squek of that damn needle exchange box all through the night (apt B)....LMAO
Re: ApartmentPaul
We're staying in Apartment A for the 1st time in a few days, usually stay in hotels, but thought we'd give this a go as I've read a lot of positive comments about his Apartments, he's also been really easy to deal with and replies to emails quickly, ohh I'm excited
Re: ApartmentPaul
Hey Serpent.
I just spent the month of April in Paul's Aparment 'A' and it was great. In fact, you should see one of my key chains hanging on the bathroom light cord...
It is a little out of town, takes about 10 minutes on the #48 bus from CS
and is in a nice area. There is a little coffeeshop (Barentsz) over the canal that i used often...I could walk to the shop, buy some Bubblegum and be back in the apartment in approx. 12 minutes...
The only thing wrong with the aparment is that it is a little dark. There are no windows in the bedroom or the bathroom, the only windows are in the front of the place. My first night there I awoke and had to use the toilet but, I could not find the door out of the bedroom...it was totally black, I was high and in a strange bedroom...I almost pissed myself laughing as I was feeling along the wall looking for the door....
Hint...leave the bedroom door OPEN and a light on in the aparment.
I have photo's of the apartment, it looks just like the pics on the site.
Enjoy.

If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one.

Re: ApartmentPaul
Thanks for the info Trad, yeah it's a little further out than where we normally stay (Old Quarter on Warmoesstraat) but a change is as good as a rest as they say, plus it actually worked out cheaper than the Old Quarter and we kinda like the idea of staying in an apartment, it also doesn't look too far from Haarlemmerstraat.
Thanks as well for the nod about Barentsz CS, I think I would have probably overlooked this and as it's so close to the apartment it would be rude not to check it out
And I don't mind the dark, I think I was a vampire in a past life and I'll keep my eyes open for your key chain

Re: ApartmentPaul
just realised i didnt reply to this once i got back.
Apartment B was pretty good, clean if a little shabby but alright. decent table for playing cards and having a smoke late on once your home. Paul was brilliant, really helpful and in a great area. would definitely stay again

Re: ApartmentPaul
You can smoke as much as you like inside. Not sure about the heating but there haven't been any complaints.vinyl wrote:Hello,

Re: ApartmentPaul
Stayed in H1 at start of Aug,....... Couldn't have wanted more!
Paul is a great guy and tries to help as much as he can. Apartment was spotless and had everything except food!
Would definitely use him again.

Re: ApartmentPaul
Survived apt B in April and didn't notice this.
Perhaps the box has moved. You can always check with Paul.

Re: ApartmentPaul
I wouldn't worry about it. I've stayed in Paul's Apartment B 3 different times for over a week each time and never noticed this. I honestly have no idea where the exchange box mentioned is even located. It's not the nicest apartment around, only one window in the back bedroom that has no view and doesn't get much sun, giving the whole place a bit of a hole in the wall feel. However you can't beat the price and I always thought the location was pretty nice as I like the jordaan and the western part of the city.Mb wrote:weedhog wrote:The only thing that was funny, didn't really bother me that much but I stayed in and smoked from 7/8 to 1-2 am and you could here the squek of that damn needle exchange box all through the night (apt B)....LMAO
