needle exchange box??? how close is this ?iv booked up for 4weeks time slighty of putting tbh!

Here is a pic see the giant white thing on the right of the door!? Thats a needle exchange box...Not sure how you could miss it if you stayed there..maybe its gone that was March 2011..

Now that being said I have used Paul on several occasions and have stayed more than 60 days in his apartments total...Apartment B is a little shabby and has one of the hardest beds I ever slept on but it is clean and comfortable with all the amenities. IMO this is an apartment best for a solo trip or if your going with a couple of friends for a few days to party. Its very close to Barney's, Greenhouse, Popeyes and all the rest on Haarlemerstraat great crash pad and very reasonable rates..

Now if you want more luxury and dont mind to stay out of the main touristry area then apt H1 is the best its located right down from the Euke Boutique and very close to Leidsestraat and all its happenings. IEHulp is also very close as is Johnny's and a few other shops. overall a great area a bit different than the Haarlemerstraat and red light district.
H1 apartment is in a modern secured building with all the amenaties and is a much nicer apartment it even has a nice balcony to sit out on and the building has an elevator so only a few steps in the lobby.

Might have been the wind knocking that mailbox flap around several times a day.

Your reviews are spot on. I liked the hard bed.

Staying in H1 for the third time, next week. Nice place, great location.

Just booked Paul's apartment 'A' for 420 next year. This guy is very cool and has great spots. I've been useing him for the past 3 years and have never had a complaint.
If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one.

Any one think apartment Paul is pretty overpriced. Obviously its great that you know that you will have a place to stay etc as many on here have stayed there before but prices seem quite steep for the look of the rooms. Ive been searching on airbnb and most of the apartments seem alot cheaper and all generally have reviews which are easily avaliable to see.

With these apartments, from looking online, which I understand doesn't tell the whole story are very expensive. For two people its about 120 a night, where as I've seen nice for just 75 or so.

For the same sort of price you could get something like this.

when i was ther ein November for 2 weeks we each paid something like 30 euro a night per person (3 people) in a 2 bedroom, which actually turned out to be just 2 peopel casue one bailed after she paid, the H1 is in a great location , well worth the money, never stayed at the other places ,

Fair enough, wasn't an attack on his buisness.

Thats a good price, but its not the high season what I was getting at, but didn't state. I have read before that there good for longer stays as its cheaper.

Just from looking online, thought it was pricey and facilities not looking great.

A nice apartment..
I've only been a visitor to H1, it's nice enough. 100/120/130 for 1/2/3 people per night if I recall correctly. 43ish per night per person, not bad.
