Budapest in Hungary is another up and coming destination for stag nights.

A couple of my colleagues at work were sent there for six weeks and they have recently came back with tales of much cheapness. They were staying outside of Budapest and the local prices (in GBP) for a pint of lager was anything between 0.50 to 1.00 and a packet of 20 cigarettes was no more than 1.20.

The beers were all local brews and top quality by all accounts (mostly strong though 5-6% per pint.

They stayed at a hotel with a minibar in the room and the bottled water was the most expensive at almost twice the price of the imported beer (which was Heineken).

Think I will have to seriously look into going there for a look see and at those prices I could easily afford it before 4/20.

Just the flights and accommodation costs to consider, which surely won't be any more than yout would pay for a room in Amsterdam.

Hungary is not yet part of the European Union.
