citizenM hotel, looks amazing !

(review of airport CitizenM): I stayed at the Schiphol CitizenM in May 2012 for one night. I chose to stay here my last night in Amsterdam because of an early departure flight the next day. In my opinion, it is the best hotel at the airport. Most importantly, you don't need a shuttle to get from the airport to the hotel like you do for some of the other "airport" hotels. It's a five minute walk from the arrivals exit. Just turn right upon exiting the terminal, and you will eventually come across the six-story hotel building with its famous logo.

Other benefits to this hotel (if you're looking for an airport hotel) include the many computers with free internet in the lobby. The rooms are comfortable, though with odd designs (the bathroom is in the middle of the room) and features (no more than two per room, in any room). The train from the airport to Centraal Station in Amsterdam takes about 15 minutes and trains run every 15-20 minutes (fewer during the overnight hours). I found it easy to get back and forth from the airport to the city this way. It is also a short train ride to Leiden from Schiphol airport (shorter than it is from Centraal Station in Amsterdam).

The staff and service was excellent, too. They were friendly, helpful and entertaining. It was easy to meet other travelers in the lobby and bar.

If I have an early flight leaving Amsterdam on my next trip (hopefully this December), I will stay at the Citizen M on my last night so that don't have to worry about transport to the airport in the early morning.
