Can anyone link me to a good printable plain map so I can plot all the coffeeshops and other places i plan to visit on it?

The Amsterdam map on this site would be perfect if anyone knows a link to the original map before all the coffeeshops were pinned on it by Lemming

i made my own by copying-and-pasting the google maps map of amsterdam and selecting only the area i would be visiting

first display google maps and resize until the your area of interest is shown

press the "Print Screen" key to put the screen image on the clipboard

start a pixel editing program like Paint and paste the clipboard image into the program

chop out the area of interest from the screen image as your map

save the map as a file such as .jpg

print

annotate with your coffeeshops and other attractions

enjoy ...

Is there simple way on google maps to remove all the info and places already on the map? I was hoping for a plainer map than google maps.

i use this one which is reasonably clean of text

And you could get rid of any txt you wanted (well the Amsterdam and the bit below it to the right) by colouring over with just the 2 colours used in that map and re-drawing the lines for the roads and streets etc. Could easily be done in half hour. Might do just that myself for my trip.

this is a new version of the google maps map of amsterdam shown above ... i have edited out some of the text where it covered the streets and reduced the area covered by the map by a little to help it fit onto paper better
