samsung galaxy tab 2 will be introduced soon

I tought about buying a samsung galaxy tab for my journeys as they are offered at amazon for 475,-Euros at the moment. since yesterday there are some news arround the net that on the 13th of February they will release the galaxy tab 2!!!

now I am not shure what's better, to get the actual 1st version for 475,-Euros (original price was 799,-) or to wait for the new 2nd version which will be def more expensive of course.

Does any ACDer own a galaxy tab?
What's your experience, are there any big cons with the galaxy tab 1?
are the pros of version 2 (better cam, more ram, better cpu, andriod 2.3...) worth to pay more, what will be at least 800,-Euros I think.

Would be great to get some advice.

I'm not sure about their tab but my experience with samsung computers has been a bit sour. got a samsung netbook about 6 weeks ago and im already selling it. this tab looks alot like an ipad. i suggest doing a side by side comparison with that and see which one has features that better suit your personal needs.

only a size comparison left is ipad right galaxy tab. the test I read voted equal or that the samsung is better!?
the accus last more than 24hours. and flash is supported.

but are there any issues that make the new galaxy tab 2 really that better as the 1st version to spend 350,-Euros more?

there is really only one thing to consider here, the OS.

If its still going to run Android Honeycomb 2.2 then buy the tab 1

If its going to run Windows then get the tab 1

If its going to run Android Honeycomb 3.0 then hold out and get it.
I got to play with a beta version of 3.0 and wow, just wow. im working for the wrong company i need to move to google they rock balls

Especially on a trip involving soft drugs and alcohol

Is it by any chance one of the hyperspace samsung netbooks with instant on?

Had one of those in for repair the other day booting to a blank screen.
