I'm sick of spammers

Ok guys I perfectly know that ignoring them is the best way to get rid of spammers, but Jeeezzz.
This morning I opened up the forum as per usual and found that was full of new threads with random numbers in the subject.
That's insanely stupid. Why bother people that have something to say to each other????
Now, dear spammers, would you please get the fuck out of here???

as soon as you see them report them, then when a mod comes on they see the report, delete the spambot and all its posts.

Yep, they're a pain in the arse. For a while I had the forum set up so that people only had to type in a hidden word to activate themselves. Unfortunately the spambots have cracked the hidden words so I had to go back to manually activating new members. This is a pain for me and the new members but it seems to be the only way to stop the spambots.

It seems that a few spambots signed up during that period but didn't actually make any posts. Every now and again one of them starts posting. Fortunately this new phpBB3 software allows me to delete them and all of their posts at once.
