Whats the best park in town to have a free range T&T at ???

I'd assume vondel.

Vondelpark is the most famous and biggest park in town.
known by the most, big enough but not very central (I think the next AH is at the museums plein!!!) I mean you have to be prepared when you go to Vondelpark, as a trip back in town is not done in minutes. but if you go to the Bij for example a picknic at Vondelpark is a must.
if you go by bike the distance to Vondelpark and back is nothing, but if you walk?!
there are many pros and cons to Vondelpark.

if want to combine your 'siesta' in the park with other activities like shopping, coffeeshops, lunch, dinner, other spots like Sarphatipark are equal or even better imo.

Vondelpark is big and has a long association with stoners. I remember back in the day t-shirts saying "Vondelpark - highest below sea level". The traditional time to go there is Sunday afternoon when there's music and stuff going on.

Sarphatipark is smaller but just as pretty and close to several excellent coffeeshops. Here's a pic I took of Sarphatipark during the 2007 Gathering:

Always seems to be winter wehn I go and it is a bit too chilly to spend a day in the park.

this was a great day at Vondelpark but my main target was coffeeshop Bij, and later the Pijp I just combined the walk with a two hour sunbath and toke at the park.
btw I have never seen more bikes than that day at Vondelpark, I think there is a video, will do a search and upload it this evening...

people who don't bike and want to meet at vondelpark could get tram 1 or 2 from centrum and get off halfway along the park, if that makes any sense

i agree with everyone else , but walking to the park isnt bad, imo its a great walk with a joint it al depends where everyone is staying,

How about both on different days? Vondelpark combined with places like Bij and Boerejongens. Sarphatipark combined with places like Katsu, Media and Yo-Yo.

if the weather is fine I'm up for both parks. but all depends on the weather.
at sarphati park plan B is to visit the coffeshops if the weather is bad, with vondelpark a plan B is not easy. coffeshops to combine with vondelpark could be boerejongens, bij and kashmir lounge.

nice and big
closely from the centre
and chill to sit on the chairs or on the grass
smoking a nice joint and a cold beer alone or with friends
summer or winter every time is it nice
