Surprised that this hasn't been brought up already. But the recent protests in Tunsia and Egypt have been a bit of a inspiration to me, wishing all the other protesters out there in that region safety and i am consistently in awe of the bravery shown by those going out against a ruling regime happy to use lethal force against it's own people.

A revolution well done in my books.

Yes, very serious stuff going on over there.

Very interesting times ahead with a gathering snowball of protests in a broad belt across North Africa and Arab States.

I wish those people well and success in their quest for a more democratic and better life. Brave bunch for facing those guns and such viciousness, but f**k me all that wealth at the top and so many people at the other end barely having enough to eat.

Was impressed and moved by a picture I saw of the main square in Cairo where the protesters had organised zones for blogging, healthcare, water, latrines, sleeping, a newspaper reading wall, a crèche and food etc. So well organised and now they are self organising a clean up.

Some of the more extreme regimes like Libya will defend themselves with violence and bloodshed but the people seem to be brave and determined.

Like all bully’s once seriously challenged these leaders show they are a set of cowardly t**ts and grab their stuff and run for safety.

Only hope that these people/countries get a fairer deal in the end and that they don’t get lumbered with some other ‘super-power’ financed puppets.

Would be interesting to know what is going on in the background in the USA / Russia / China camps – an opportunity for changes in the control of the whole area. There will be some sphincter twitching and counting of the ‘slush funds’ and ‘bungs’ going on in the background.

Iran seems like the real hot bed out there to keep an eye on and get on side – next door but 1 neighbour Israel will be getting very twitchy for sure.

In the west we are more fortunate with a better spread of wealth but we still have greedy leaders who rip us off – they are just more sneaky and stealthy.

the hypocrisy from our own governments is funny, iran which is a democracy &elected leader is being proper slated for locking up a few people & bahrain which isnt a democracy & their friends bring out tanks & starting gunning people down &they dont condem them or nothing, hague just says hes disturbed by the reports,
shit in libya sounds bad, snipers shootin people & unlike egypt media aint allowed in, so who knows what their gonna do, gaddafis a bit of a nut, cant se he giving up without a fight,
egypts crazy, it was all for nothing, military yesterday outlawed protesting, theyre just gonna put in their own people again, but i can see it all kicking off again
+i just googled the name of the guy who set himself on fire in tunisia on december 17, Mohammed Bouazizi, this guy has started something which the only other comparisson i can think of where 1 act by 1 person has done, is the guy who shot the keiser which kicked off ww1 &look how that turned out,
this thing aint gonna stop,internets opened alot of eyes, china must be scared, they been curbing their internet for years, they know people will see know matter how much they try &stop em,
++does any1 here think the uk will ever become a democracy? where we are allowed to elect our head of state

so cameron & hague say that people all over the middle east have every right to protest & voice their 'concerns' to the ruling elite, shame that they dont believe people in the uk should also have those same rights

this guy brian haw has been there for nearly 10years giving up everything to protest what he believes & our fascist government want to kick him out (which theyve been trying to do since he started) just in time for our rich dear leaders wedding, god forbid if audiences around the world catch a glimpse of those horrible smelly hippys who are an enemy of the state because they dont like children being napalmed in their name,
