I like the sub forums in the of-topic section, a T&T section would be good as part of the planing forum. Politics and such, in my opinion, are covered with the legalizing/campaign and the international forums. Popular posts do not have to be made sticky, they will stay at the top because they are popular save the sticky for events and such. I just think the whole Internet is amazing, I do not understand it, but it is cool, and this site is great, thanks.

The off topic section used to be way more dynamic when it was all under the same roof. Now there are too many categories to click that hardly move anyway, I've noticed.

It worked when music, sport, fun, games, other were in one section only, ie, in one off topic section and not segregated out. There are way too many categories overall in the forum and mostly, have never got time to check every single one, adding more is making me not check the other zones. . Just saying, no worries, just a humble opinion.

Yes me as well, off topics worked for me OK before. Liked and read more when all together.

Very 'umble, very 'eavy 8).

Thanks for the comments. No real consensus here, maybe I'll set up a poll.

Some interesting points, especially about some of the topics in the off topic sub forums not moving much. Maybe that's why they need sub-forums?

I don't delete old posts and topics so the forum gets bigger and bigger. Whilst some topics, such as those in Travel Plans, might pass their sell by date at some point, many can be interesting for a long time.

There are loads of ways of viewing the whole such as "View unanswered posts", "View active topics", "View unread posts", "View new posts" and the categories light up when there are new posts. Active topics float to top and there are loads of ways of personalising your view in the User Control Panel.

If one particular area, such as Off Topic, is very busy then slower moving topics are likely to get buried. Maybe the subforums help to keep these long running topics going and avoid having loads of stickies? Just a thought.
