hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone knows if there are any supermarkets near the city centre that sell pre cooked food. im a bodybuilder n i eat alot of food high in protrein. i eat 8+ small-ish meals a day n i dont want to be eating this much in restaurants coz it will cost me a bomb so it would be handy if i could pick up some pre cooked stff n eat it on the go!
does anyone have any suggestions? it would also be nice to know of any places that do healthy food.
peace

Your subject of healthy eating in Amsterdam doesn't seem to of attrated a lot of interest. As I usually hire an apartment which is not much dearer than a 3 star hotel and cook for myself. Living off munchies for a week is tempting but like you I lke to get a decent meal down.

Try looking through the food section of the forum:

As far as supermarkets are concerned there are lots of Albert Heijns all over the city:

Lots of Apartments all over the city as well, start with the hotel section of the forum:

The Albert Heijn's serve ready to eat meals. The Noordermerkt has an organic farmers market on Saturdays from 9a to 4p.
Peace,
