forum downtime?

Post by 711 »

For more than 3 days now I haven't been able to access the forum at all from any location, getting timeouts on each attempt. The directory (the coffeeshop directory, not the dir) was perfectly accessable, butfor some reason every request to access teh forum would time out.

Any one else had the same experience if so Lem, what happened?

Yup, I had exactly the same thing as well. There was a lot of talk about dealing with the spammer situation prior to the unexpected shut-down.

Perhaps that might have had something to do with it. Forum taken offline for maintenance or something like that.

EUREKA. Check out the Off-Topic section and see if you can spot any differences.

It seems that all the topics that subsequently promoted various substances have now been removed.

That surely must be why the forum was off line.

I'm off now to give myself a huge pat on the back for spotting it.

For some reason or other I get that feeling anytime I'm in Amsterdam ;)

After the latest off air time I had to have both arms and legs removed so I'm now typing with my nose

Good to be back!!

Yes it did make the whole online thing slightly less enjoyable not being able to peruse the various thoughts and opinions of my virtual, and ultimately better informed, colleagues.

for me, I really enjoy using the forum... I have never used an online forum before the ACD forum... because it's mainly weed orientated it's interesting getting to "know?" people that are somewhat, like-minded people... cool ... it also makes being totally wasted a little more fun by typing my opinions/thoughts... which I just keep forgetting what the topic was... 8)
