Request for a British person visiting the Dam during 420

Post by Willjay »

Hello, my wife is a bit of a royal wedding fan, she has already scheduled the day off from work to watch the wedding on TV. Here is the request; she would like to have a souvenir about the event. Not sure what she wants, a snow globe, ashtray, plate, something that has the event date on it. If we had this in America there would be a flood of nick nacks and chakas for sale and some would become popular must haves. We would reimburse you for the gift, keep the price around the cost of a gram of pot in Amsterdam ( 10-20 euro’s) . PM me, or answer here. Thanks

Allo mate, I'm arriving from London on the 7th but leave on the 11th. If you know a budtender that wouldn't mind holding onto a souvenir I'd be happy to bring you something over.

well my suggestion is visit amazon.com and select from the many treasures it has ... that way there is only one instance of shipping, rather than from the uk to the netherlands and the netherlands to the usa with all the risk of breakage etc ... plus you can get excited way before the event proper

just have a look ... the variety is amazing ... personally i would go for the life-size cardboard cut-out at only $49.99 ... but on a serious note the mugs are a good choice because then you can relive the event with every cup of tea ... better agree a budget before looking though ... there is absolutely loads of stuff there ... enjoy ...

  excellent spider!!!

Willjay I'll not get into the whole politics British/Irish thing :? but I travel to London quite a bit for work and I'm over again before 420 so if you want me to pick something up I'm sure I can manage it, and as you know I'm still hoping to get out ok...

Can't do a snowglobe though :( it wont get through airport security as it is 'liquid'

Thanks everyone,

Strictlysilvers - we do not arrive until the 12th and I do not know any one that well, but thanks for your offer.

StonedSince67 - amazon is too impersonal and I would never have found out about the "royal wedding sic bag" with out the help of spidergawd.

Spidergawd - WE WANT TWO (at least)!! that is exactly what we were looking for.

Rufus - can you get us some "royal wedding sic bags" or something equally as strange? Glad to here you will be there.

No pressure :? I'll do my best, I imagine I'll pick up something for sure... the tacky tourist shops in London must be overloaded with stuff... I'm over there early April so I'll keep you posted...

Rufus, no pressure at all. In a way we have already achieved our goal, we would of never have seen those "bags" in rural PA were we live. Chance of having one as a souvenir is exciting, chance of meeting a fellow ACDer, priceless.
