greetings

Post by gnorway55 »

Hey guys, my name is Griffin but Griff is good too, I am a student currently studying in Norway. I go to university of north dakota in the states and live in minnesota. I am sick of expensive and bunk buds here in Norway and planned a trip to amsterdam on the 19th through the 24th. I am travelling solo and it is my first visit to "the dam" so if any of you guys want to meet up and show me whats up that would be awesome. Also I was wondering if I could ever join the 420 festivities on the 20th during my visit, I get along with pretty much anyone and would love a buddy to hang with during my visit. If you guys could help me out it would be such a favor. thanks guys, I look forward to meeting fellow bud smokers. I believe I came to the right place, best regards
Griffin D

Welcome to the forum.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

You have been posted on the April Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.
Or post one of your own. All I need is a date, time, and coffeeshop to post it.

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/membe ... le&u=60020

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

The Whos In Town page has most of the events listed.
Feel free to attend any or all of them.
The purpose behind the Whos In Town page is to get
people together.

Man, I think you have pretty much made my trip already, holy cow i can't thank you enough, this will be a huge help. I have spent 4 hours looking for the stuff you just sent me with one click. How do the toke and talks work? where can you get Truffles as well? I want to have at least one day in the park..

Check the 21st, the Dopefiend people are having a truffle in the park session.
Any of the smartshops will have them.
Conscious Dreams on Warmoestraat is one of many.

You may want to print yourself several copies of the map here.

https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/Map.html

It will be a big help once you get there.
With more than one copy you can loose or give away some
and still have one for yourself.

I am having a Toke & Talk on the 19th at 10:00am ( uh huh Wake & Bake ) at Voyagers.
Please do attend if you are in town that early.

Toke & Talks

As I see it a Toke and Talk is a win, win, win situation.

1. Nobody shows up. You have spent an hour in a coffeeshop of your choice.
This goes in my win column.

2. One or more people show up. You meet some new friends in a great atmosphere.
Yep, another win.

3. Everyone in town shows up and it turns into a coffeeshop crawl.
This might be the biggest win of all.

To ID yourself something as simple as a rolling paper with your user name
written on it and stuck to the front of your shirt/coat will work.

I print the Toke and Talk graphic at the top of a sheet of paper.
When I get where I'm going I fold it into a v shape and stand it on the
table or bar.
Use the bottom of the page to get folks to "sign in" and have yourself a
one of a kind souvenir.
And be able to post an accurate trip report.

Give me a date, time, and coffeeshop and I'll post it.

Enjoy

do your research, make a possible smoke list, places to visit, attractions to go to. and when i meet you at central station when you get in i can show what where it all is and take you to a few of my favorite places you would not possibly find on a first trip to dam.. and oh yeah welcome aboard mate..
