Recommend the best CS for a 'dam newbie
So I'm really enjoying this site/forum, and although I know its gonna be a lot easier once I get there, I feel a little confused. maybe too much information to take in without reference.
so, i'm thinking, can anyone recommend me some place to go for my first experience. i reckon it'll be about midday on a friday. i'll want somewhere to grab a coffee, a gram, maybe even something to eat, and somewhere to just chill for an hour or two.

I don't mind closeness to the hotel. I'm staying out at Zaandam anyway, so will always come via Centraal.
actually I have a dumb question to ask. whats the diff between 'hydro' and 'bio/organic' that I see on some menus.
I would take hydro to mean grown under lights at particuarly optimal conditions (plenty of artificial fertiliser etc..). bio/organic sounds right up my street, but I wonder how its different.
oh, and thanks for the suggestion!.
I think my shortlist is: basjoe, de kuil, and now paradox.

bio means grown in soil, and hydro (you guessed it means grow hydropincally).
thing to remember is that soil grown can still mean grown in a pot of soil thats been filled with fertilizers etc. soil doesnt automatically mean healthy. vice versa hydro grown can (if the grower has been nice enough) still be achieved in a healthy (organic) way.
so if you see 'bio organic' it means soil grown and only organic plant food used.

It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk from Dam Square and worth every minute. I've never had anything bad from the shop and the Turkish Hash was excellent.dconstrukt wrote:never been to paradox.... damn thats outta the way LOL
