Also people seem to forget he spent alot of time here as a kid when his father Cecil(their relationship with standing) played for us.. Thanks for him Toronto .. Seattle can have Victor after the surgery he just had and still has to have goodluck to him on that..And Cabrera is more than servicable to play 3rd.. Defensively weaker than Inge but I would trade that and whatever else for his pure power and constant production.. It sucks for most teams not to have All-Stars at the corners.. And dont sleep on Jim Leylands ability to work this line-up.. Compare Detroit to any other American league team up and down the batting order and I havent EVEN started on my pitching staff!!!! All I have to say is Verlander( Cy young and Mvp)I know Detroit is a great knock around(and as Cantona has pointed out before I have also knocked at times) but it is still my hometown.. And beyond just the Tigers being good I am sure he would want to play in an AMAZING sports town(We do win Championships in all sports..except for my beloved lions-I wont dredge up the 50's(in which we were champs)..
Ya goodluck with delmon young in left and Cabrera playing 3rd. It must be nice beating up on the Royals and Indians every season to inflate your teams record. AL central is the weakest division in the American league right now hands down and i would bet my life that the extra wild card team doesnt come from there. I wish the Jays and Tigers were still in the same division. Probably our best rivalry considering the proximity between the 2 cities. By the way Cecil didnt get to Detroit straight from Toronto...he played in Japan for a couple of years then went to Detroit.
I Miss my Expos i dont get why ppl here r wanting a hockey team in Quebec city when the F..ing Expos r more missed and Who cares about Quebec city (ps Red bull Crashed ice this weekend in quebec city )
I saw pineda pitch last year... He was throwing 96?.... Today, 92... How does that happen in a year?
same thing happened to tim lincecum. started his career throwing the 100-101mph heat. now as hes a bit older his fastball peaks at 94-96 and he throws more breaking stuff. some players just cant hold onto the high heat long into their careers. but these guys are the ones who usually pitch well into their 40's. strasberg wil be an exception just like johnson was imo. i think once the season starts though pineada will be back to throwing to the mid 90's depending on if the pitching coach on his shit club lets him.
any mlb 2k players here? i know alot of ps3 owners prefer mlb the show. but once again 2ksports is giving the first player to document and throw a perfect game on this years game $1,000,000. and from the looks of the commercial a date with kate upton?

Edit
7-7 we plays longball
ichiro has power. he hits longballs out of the park regularly during bp. hes capable of hitting 20-25 a year. but he is stubborn. sticks to being a contact/avg hitter. if he learned to walk more his obp and power would go up. like i said though hes stubborn. he can also speak fluent english but still insists on speaking through a translator. really weird guy.
