And thus is the problem with Xbox my friend, too many American kids on chat. Watching a program the other night and it mentioned that dental hygeine in America is going south in a serious way and britains is getting better every day, soon we will be telling our obese cousins over the pond to brush their stinkin teeth.tpelling wrote:Where does this blatant stereotype of 'bad teeth' come from? I know for a fact that my dental hygiene is second to none, the same goes for my family and close friends. Every time I go into an Xbox lobby with American/Aanadian teenagers it's all "get outta here you yellow toothed wanka!" said in a bad Australian accent.
where does this stem from?
Pity Adumpster still trolls these boards, but we need our comic relief I suppose.

My grandmum and Granddad are from Brighton and their teeth are better than most. It just looks like they got their dental work done in Jail. None of those small fillings like in modern times!!

I love my dentist, brilliant little Irish man does a fantastic job if anything ever needs doing.

I just read my family came over from Ireland in 1850, my teeth are awful. Now I know why.

I suppose I am one of those burnt out hippy types baffled by new technology, but unless you log in,the foe thingy does'nt really work,or am I missing something
Does your foe know they are a foe
If you are just browsing without logging in can you still see your foes post and if so why bother
If you decide someone is a foe and they find out can they still send you a PM,

Did you know that the tooth brush was invented in the American South?HasAnyoneSeenMyPipe wrote:And thus is the problem with Xbox my friend, too many American kids on chat. If it had been invented anywhere else they would have called it a 'teeth' brush.
If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one.

Hmm - finally having acquired something decent to smoke and feelin bit ill from a sleepless night yesterday (...) whilst home alone on a flippin saturday night several things occur to me on this subject:
I think this friend or foe thing is unfortunate. Do we really wanna be thinking only these 2 options with people one comes into contact with? Once someone has been 'foed' AND dissed by the person 'foeing' them it seems to me that there's an unfortunate finality about that. Sure, noone is obliged to like anyone else at all but most fallings-out that occur on here come under the heading of 'banter', or am I wrong?!
I dont personally enjoy experiencing black/white thinking (eg either friend OR foe) when it's directed at me cos I include shades of grey in my character makeup and I reckon everyone else does too!
I remember Gee Dubya (that's ex president george w bush for non native english speakers!) making a little speech a while back that went "You're either with us or your with the terrierists*", and thereby attempting to eliminate any possibility of principled objection to the so called 'allies' ' handling of that terrible business - making objectors into 'enemies' - that's black/white thinking for ya...
I think there is an old myth being exploded here: namely the myth that all stoners are 'super-chilledout people - not like the idiotic pissheads (drunks) or the moody, arrogant cokeheads'. ...
Is it part of 'the way of the stoner' to fall out angrily and never speak to that person again! over what is essentially anonymous banter?
There are several different language-speaking groups on this forum. I've often seen a very wittily english post by certain witty, english members not being fully understood by other members who do not 'get' the way subtle piss-taking (ridiculing) is used in english without it being a 'fatal diss'! So, that member reacts angrily to what they thought was a 'real' personal insult and that provokes first member to actually be intentionally provocative this time round. This happens over and over again and is somewhat sad but also completely 'normal'. I wonder how much 'foe-ing' has taken place due to this? If I foe'd someone who dissed me well enough to actually make me angry (or is it if they foe'd me?) I'd never get to experience their sharp dealing with others - which, frankly I find highly entertaining to witness!
I wont be using either category anywhere other than my brain's temporary file cache that gets constantly refreshed and renewed each time i log on here and gain a new appreciation for someone via their posts that I might have previously considered a twat (or super cool!) in a previous session! ....
Essay over!

Apparently, this move is being viewed as Al Karyeeda's newest escalation of the war. The public is advised not to approach any terriers or terrierists seen (specially if they're wearing robes of any kind) but to inform the police immediately that a terror-rust attack is under way.
