Hey some of you might have seen me posting on here well Im going to the Dam in august and im looking to get some good weed sessions now I have a few questions.

1. I have only ever had UK weed and it really didnt have that much effect on me? Im 6ft 4" 280lbs and Im only 18 Would it be best to start with the cheaper stuff say the Thai or Jamaican. Some places only want like 5-6E/gram, and then progress onto better more potent strains when I know I can handle it.

2. I am really afraid of getting a whitey! I do not want it to happen to me, any tips on how to avoid it? Don't want to be the subject of scrutiny. I will be carrying a tin of pepsi around with me at all times incase anything gets a bit too much

3. Would people look at me wierdly in a C/S if I smoked the weed in a Pipe/Bong. Im terribble with rolling. If I can pick up some cheap Jamaican or Thai I geuss I can practice

4. Is there an index of Smartshops because I really would like to pickup some truffles, these I have had before.

1) I would skip the Thai/Jamaican weed and start with some of the other lower end strains. Jack Herer, Northern Lights, Trainwreck

2) First make sure you have eaten a decent meal and keep a sugary drink on hand. Have a few puffs wait about 5 minutes and see how you feel. If you do start to fill ill, take your drink and go outside for fresh air. If you're okay, toke on. Take your time, there is no rush.

3) No problems smoking a pipe/bong, most shops have a bong you can borrow.

4) The Directory here on ACD has a majority of the smartshops listed. You can't go wrong with Conscious Dreams, Magic Mushroom Gallery, or Tatanka.

Hi dude. i might be tempted to give the thai/jamaican a miss, you can probably graduate onto the milder greens. Yellow Cab from Grey Area is nice. Look for 8-10euro/gram. Laughing bhudda, Kali Mist, Blueberry, Orange Bud are nice beginner strains too.

You can smoke bongs/pipes no problem.. i recommend joint rolling practice or asking the budtender to roll u one up. don't be shy about this. with a joint, it's easier to regulate how much you take.. u can have a few puffs and let it go out, spark it back up again/

fresh air and sugar will cure most whiteys. I carry around some lucozade tablet things.

Have a sweet time. Read travelogues

go for it mate (your in Amsterdam) try the best first, it will hit you pretty hard/possible whitey but its all fun just be in a coffeeshop near hotel/ or even in hotel room.yeah practice your rolling or get a rolling mat. bong everywhere you go..

How many times have you tried weed? Are you sure you've been inhaling properly? I wouldn't suggest Thai or Jamaican just because that stuff is usually brick weed and doesn't taste very good. Talk to the budtender, explain your situation and ask him to suggest a milder strain.

Your best is to be in a situation you feel entirely comfortable in. Coffeeshops, filled with strangers, music you can't control, etc. isn't ideal for a new or sensitive smoker. Stay in a hotel that's OK with smoking, buy some weed and a bong, play some music you like, and take it from there, ideally with a close friend. If the effects are too intense, you can relax, lie down, and let the effects pass. If you feel good and in control, go for a nice walk or head down to a local pub.

In Amsterdam, this is nothing out of the ordinary. Outside of Amsterdam, where tourists are few and far between, you might get some weird looks since very few Dutch use pipes but fuck 'em if they give you any guff.

Ok, thanks for all the advice! Yeah Im not sure what was in it I was told it was weed, meh.
I was thinking only of the Thai/Jamaican because its cheap I thought it would be less potent. But Ill ask the budtender what he thinks is good for a starter. You guys have really given me confidence!!

Our first day there me and a friend will probably stop off and pick up a bag of weed and that night try it in our hotel room (we got a smoking room ).

You will have a great time matey, If you are worried about pulling a whitey do not sit on tall bar stools

Or sit by the canal. I still crack up thinking about the ACD member who got really stoned and tipsy while sitting on the terrace in the red light district and fell into the canal.
