Not during rush hour
Due to a work stoppage in Amsterdam on Thursday, April 7th, GVB trams, buses and metros will not run from 10.00 till 14.00 hrs. The ferries continue normal service.
Travellers will experience inconveniences between 9.00 and 15.00 hrs. From 09.00 hrs. public transport will diminish when trams, buses and metros return to the depots. From 14.00 hrs. service will restart, but it will take a while before the timetable is run according to schedule.
The unions have called this action as a protest against government plans for budget cuts and the planned public tender.
GVB apologize for any inconvenience travellers may experience as a result of the work stoppage.
