I don't believe 'em
Maybe it is true, give me 10 years, and an anti terror budget and I'll find anycunt!

Edit

Just seen that Obama announced it at 04:30 AM....anyone think he stopped for a spliff at 420, before the cameras started to roll?

Top news, but the unfolding retaliation repercussions is now a huge concern.
Shame he wasn't caught alive though, that would have been more conducive.

Thats the way I see it mate. The repercussions are potentially worse than if he was alive.

I heard Obama live early this morning & without trying to sound anti American he annoyed me by making out America was the only country affected by Al-Qaeda. No mention of the London tube bombings in 2005 or all the work the UK forces have done along side America in the fight against terrorism, not to mention all the British serviceman returning home in body bags from Afganistan.

It reminded me of the first Gulf war in 1990, when Bush senior came out & said last night US & allied forces successfully did this & that in Baghdad. What he meant to say was last night the British airforce successfully took out strategic postions with low flying missions in darkness while the American airforce carpet bombed Baghdad from above the clouds in B-52's.

Well in this world of smoke and mirrors, who knows? but I'm not a great one for conspiracy theories I've lived long enough to see most of them de-bunked so I'll take it at face. Master stroke giving him to the fishes, though I hope they didn't dump him off The Grand Banks, I dont want to spoil my Cod and chips.

I honestly think they already have their foot full on the gas and they're struggling. As anybody with sense knows, this is not the end of fascist/terrorists but I think time will see a few of the most unstable places in the world getting a chance to straighten out. Most people just want a dry roof a warm bed and the safety to enjoy them.

Talking about conspiracy theories whats happened to stankey dankey, have they taken away his computer privileges?
What a long strange trip it is.

Really pleased that in some regard the "Bin Man" finally paid the price for all the innocents slaughtered around the world directly under his orders, or in his name.
It's not an end to the terror inspired by him and other like minded people, but hopefully it will have had a major effect on the ability of such groups to operate.
The revenge attacks will already be in the pipeline, ("William Hague" who's in "Egypt" for talks, will be bricking it!!) but that's religion and politics rolled into one, tit for tat.
This will bring some sort of closure to many people who for many, many years have felt cheated of justice.
For that alone, it's a very good day for many different people, in many different countries, around the world.

Irony; Just like when i and many others watched those horrible scenes during 9/11, unable to take my eyes off this planned global event, i couldn't help but keep sayin' to others how blue the sky was.
Here, it's just as blue today.
On "Youtube", someone posted images from those moments with the "Jackson Browne" song "Blue and Black" as an accompaniment, increasing the poignancy to the point where i can't see, or hear either, without thinkin of them both together.
"Osama Bin Laden", FUCK HIM and all others like him....which ever side these bastards line up on, hiding behind religion, politics, national interests and any other excuses they'd like us to swallow.
The next hardest thing to swallow, where do we all go from here? Can the world start to build bridges, or is it back in the trench.

Good news, "Luca Brasi" has someone to talk to, 'cause "Osama Bin Laden" sleeps with the fishes.

Do you guys not think there would be more retaliation terrorism if he was caught alive?.... would they not try to force everyone to let him go by starting new campaigns of violence?

I'm glad he's dead. Fingers crossed there are no major repercussions eh?

As he's now dead, it's made him a Martyr to some. Tossing his carcass into the ocean, preventing any shrine being made was wise I guesss. They now need to obliterate the rest of the scum, but to me he has gotten away from interrogation, torture and further intelligence as lots of questions need answering.

Some need to think for a moment, what could possibly be worse, being attacked if he's alive or dead? See any difference?
Given a little more thought, the world is better off with him dead mainly because he isn't around to inspire others with "renewed" motivation.
And to those who would cry that he now has become a martyr, he became a martyr the day he admitted to his actions. Nothing has changed except those who are crying foul.
As for repercussions, seriously? Think about this long and hard, give it some time, and you will see the light, maybe. Are some suggesting that we should worry about repercussions, from terrorists? They have been attacking us for decades, what do you think will happen now, they get pissed off even more? How pissed off, read determined, do people think they were before, 40%, maybe 50%. But now that OBL is dead, this will pump them up to say, 80-90%? These are terrorists, think about it, think about it, think about it. Now, think about it some more... these are terrorists. Does anyone think terrorists fear repercussions for their actions? They welcome it, gives their cause more meaning, not to mention support. The knife does cut both ways though, look at the masters of the military industrial complex... Just saying.

I don't need to see his body to believe he's dead, just like I don't need to see the President's birth certificate to know he's an American.

Conspiracy theorists - get a life, and milk. Want some?

Happiness is a world with one less terrorist...

Edit: I was posting mine as Trance was posting his, and my reference to crying was not meant towards him but to the pundits and media alarmists, ala Faux News...

He was always going to be a martyr to lots of people for many different reasons.
I'm with you "TRANCE", under the waves is the place for him, it won't stop all the killin' that will continue, but there won't be a rallying point for the deranged and deluded to focus on.

...as for the missed chance to torture, interrogate and perhaps gain information that would lead to others. Who's to say the "Bin Man" is dead? Revenge is a dish best served cold. Maybe "Osama's" attempt at holding his breath until he hits the bottom of the ocean will take place at a later date....if, as they say on TV news programmes, the order was shoot this prick dead, to send out the message, "However long it takes, whatever needs to be done..", but above all he MUST NOT ESCAPE. .....it could cost people their jobs, right up to the very top....Mr President.

I would imagine there was plenty for the boys in the background to sift through when everything of value was taken from the compound.

The "Pakistan" government look unfortunately like fools with this, but this is not something to smirk or gloat about.
This makes the situation for a government already under severe pressure, from many quarters, even more difficult, in a very unstable place.
Spare a thought and a prayer if you're religious, for the many hostages around the world who will be the first port of call when it comes to barbaric acts of violence to avenge "Osama's" death, with there 'justice' seen to be done and posted on the 'net' for all to see.

Just another chapter in the book.

Just had a look at "Uncle Ron's" as i was postin'. lot of truth there as well "Ron"
