Er, you might want to read up on how Muslims handle their dead. They don't keep them around for days or weeks like western civilizations, they bury them ASAP.
Remember when you saw the bodies of American service members being dragged in the streets? How did that make you feel?
Regardless of the fact that he was the most wanted person in the world, he was still a Muslim. If the US were to have disrespected their beliefs just to parade his body around like a trophy, who knows how the Muslim world would have reacted. I think not in a good way, do you? Reread the bit about dragging bodies through the streets, how did the US react? Just saying... stupid is as stupid does.

FYI, if you want to see the body or at least his face, pics of his dead mug are already posted on the web.

As for the President getting more votes for the next election, worked for George Jr. didn't it? Just saying...

Even if he was killed or murdered, no 1 person can decide who has the right to live and die, no matter what they did. Giving the order to take a life is far worse that the crime committed. I can understand if they could not capture him and the only way to put an end to him is by killing him then that is ok.

This is not the end, by far. Killing Osama is just the start now, the fuse is lit (no pun intended) and it is just a matter of time before something happens I think. I know obviously that we wouldnt but I think 'something' will.

Someone's murder can't be a victory for peace or a fight against hatred

Although I agree with tpelling in theory about the comment that no one person should have the right to decide the fate of another, it happens everyday in the courts. :o

Ask two people this question: How well did you sleep the night after you killed someone?
The person who ordered the killing probably slept peacefully while the person who committed the act will have to live with the fact that THEY and they alone are responsible. PTSD comes in many forms, this is one of them, just ask me.
Because someone told me to go kill doesn't mean I should, but if I did, I am overall responsible because I decided to kill. In combat it's a different story, it's either kill or be killed. The same applies to terrorism, sort of. Either live ones existence in constant fear, or fight back with any and all means necessary, to include killing, not murder.

As for this being an end, listen to the people who are talking, because they are the only ones talking this nonsense. Terrorism will NEVER end, all we can hope to do is not give reason or cause for people to act out in desperation. If anyone is interested to learn why OBL went on a terror campaign, look no further than Exxon, Shell, BP, etc..., and the ignorant idiots who manipulate or coerce whole societies for profit. Innocent people didn't deserve to die, capitalists and ignorant politicians do (not, but hey, most of them are lawyers). I call it as it is, plain and simple, and it really is. People are either too ignorant or too stupid to admit that many terrorist attacks could have been avoided if not for a few simple minded, power tripping, egoists. People continue to run from these facts, and they listen to idiots like Sarah Palin who think the world hates the US because of the freedoms the citizens enjoy. Fucking retard. The world has developed a distaste for the US version of capitalism, and one has to look no further than Wall Street and two years ago for proof. How many are in jail because of what happened? None from Wall Street. Why? More fuel for the fire... just saying.

As for a fuze being lit, it was lit a long time ago. What are people supposed to do now - roll over, give up, and die, or fight. Reading your words, it seems you would rather have the latter. If someone were to come onto my property and start doing what they wanted to, like taking my crops or natural resources without any or fair compensation, you can bet I will not stand idly by while they rape me. This is where it begins, almost always has...

These acts will continue until the world realizes that it can't allow capitalists and egoists to do as they see fit. Until such time when people act in unison, more innocent people will be hurt and killed. A very simple fact...

You are correct Adamster, THAT photo is not authentic.

Devil's advocate, sort of:
Say this is nothing more than propaganda, for what purpose or ends is anyone's guess.
Could be to lure OBL into a false sense of security, and when he pops his head up, whack. But the cover-up would be immense. Not plausible.
Forget about doing it for popularity and votes, that's just silly, even for George Jr., as previously quipped.
The birther thing is all but dead, except to Donald. Nope, not this..
What could be the motivation to dupe the world into thinking that OBL is dead when in fact he isn't??????

When the full details are released, people can decide for themselves.

The National Command Authority (NCA) named the unit involved, the US Navy's Seal Team 6, which lends credibility to the report. As a former member of the SpecOps community, I don't think the NCA would jeopardize the reputation of this elite unit, especially given what happened in the 60's and 70's. Remember the term "baby killers"? It hurt back then, it hurt when I was in the community, and it still hurts today. Unless this is some kind of a ploy, as mentioned above, I honestly do not believe that the SpecOps community would allow themselves to be used as part of a lie, regardless that it originated from the Commander In Chief.

Allow for some time to pass so that debriefings can be conducted, and the final report released for public consumption before coming to definitive conclusions. A little quick with the nay saying, just saying...

“There are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.”

—Former United States Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld
War mongering capitalist/egotist bastard that he is, but a classic soundbite.

Confused??... You're supposed to be :? ever heard of sowing confusion?
What a long strange trip it is.

I'm watching the live breaking news update from the White House.....................

I can't help feeling overly incredulous about all this at this precise moment, way too many conspiracy theories out there at the moment, what with that and a personal penchant in having an overly active imagination, I'm wanting to see some irrefutable evidence, not just a video of a wrapped up carcass being buried at sea, simply won't suffice for me. Let us see the helicopter and helmet mounted camera video footage of the siege, now that would do for me. I think we all now need to see this authentic footage I sincerely hope gets released.

This would make a good movie all this.

That's a lot of sense again "Uncle Ron". As more and more details come to light many of the questions that i and i'm sure many others would like to know the answer to, will hopefully become clearer.
Much of the pointed questions will be in the direction of the "Pakistan" government, who seem to be caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.(No pun intended...but it's a cracker!!!)
They've got to be seen to be tough on terror, yet not to be complicite with non-muslim countries, who to many in "Pakistan" have no business in meddling in their country. The "Pakistan" government and the vast, vast majority of the people need and depend on the financial assistance that other countries, in particular the USA, gives them.
However, as we've also seen in many different countries, in areas of "Pakistan" there are many people in places of power and influence, who would be happy to see ALL the people go back to living in the stoneage, as long as THEY get their way, a dream that they will willingly sacrifice there own and other peoples lives for.
Make no mistake. This is a country and a government that is swaying back and forth and could easily be nudged into falling into choas. Not good for anyone....
"Pakistan", as it's citizens the government know, is corrupt to the core. Nothing will stay secret if it has a value to others. FACT.
My bet, an understanding was reached. How's this!!!
USA- "We give you aid, financial and other, when we pass on information, it leaks out. High value prisoners get to go to "Macdonalds", have a pray and then disappear. Many army/police take off their uniforms at the end of the week and go to work for the groups/people they've been 'Hunting' for in the day job. We see the difficulties you already face in tribal areas, which will only get worse if you're seen to be involved in 'drone' attacks etc For all these reasons (and probably lots of reasons more!) if we need to, regrettably we will act independently and keep you informed as and when necessary, should this ever have to occur. But this will Not be happening, if ever, on a bases that will cause alarm to the people and further destabilise the government and the country "

Pakistan- "The country and the government is in a very difficult position and it would not serve either, to have us involved in acts that would pour even more fuel on the fire, further destabising an already fractured country. We understand the reasoning behind the need to act as you explained, but this cannot be seen to be just aggression towards our citizens, with our approval, whenever the fancy takes you. However, we are not in a position to do the job ourselves and you know fine well we cannot refuse you. No wholesale bloodbath of innocents please. If you think of any way we can help you, give us a call. All in all it suits us better to say we didn't know. Have a nice day!!!"

The only problem that's glaring for the "Pakistan" government at the minute (I'm sure they'll be many more to come!!) is that 4 helicopters flew in, landed near an army base, had a 40 minute fire fight and none of the locals turned up to see what was going on!! Sounds like up my street!!!

I truely believe "Bin Laden" is dead, or if, if if, they took him alive he's already dead, or as good as.
Trying to fake it as "Uncle Ron" said is too out there. Think of the reaction if up popped another video of him holding a newspaper with a headline cheering about his demise... it would be worth another 9/11 to him and the rest.

"spidergawd", "Rumsfeld" is another one of them people who in my opinion, hell will not be full until he's in it. Truely a cocksucker, amongst cocksuckers. Never seen any redeeming features in the man. I'm sure he'd sell his mother.

....and it turned out to be true....the best thing to do is to hide in plain site.......the prick should have hidden in the flat we rented in "Amsterdam" not far from the "Black Star" coffeeshop. "Arkwrights"- the "Anne Frank" appartment....nobody would have found him there!! (Another pun not intended, but again another cracker!!) Controversy about photographs, i'll say, what a shit hole. "Osama" was used to the mountains, well he'd have not have had the worries about the height of his hideout, what with breezes unhindered from the "Urals".
I'd of given him a week in there and he'd of handed himself in!!
