I'm not picking on you HASMP, so sit back, spark one up, and relax.
Why would I think you were picking on me Ron?
This is an ulster fry.
take out the egg (bleh) and tomato and throw in some fried pancake and more bacon with plenty of coffee and its heaven.
Fucked up the wording...
I was stating my opinion in the same script as replying to you as to what an Ulster Fry is. I didn't want to seem insulting... No worries then...
I kinda looks delicious, but I think my Cholesterol jumped 50 points just looking at the photo.
As long as you steer clear of anywhere that advertises 'Tourist Menu' and the million places offering all you can eat for €12 you should be fine.
Head out of the centrum to the Jordaan or De Pjip and theres loads of nice places to eat, I wouldn't piss on any fruit, veg or fresh meat from a supermarket either especially with all the nice markets around the city.
Last Friday I had one of those 'full all day English breakfast meals' in Wetherspoons.
It wasn't half bad if I'm honest, friends pasta meal was crap though apparently.
£5.90 for mine but no way could I eat a full English Brekkie first thing in the morning like that, especially as it had chips and not saute potatoes.

thats not very true is it?
leeds has numerous mcdonalds/KFC/burger king etc...
but you get alot of 'gourmet' fast foods which are nice and use ALOT better quality ingredients, and theres michelin star restaraunts and your family run restaurants.
Salvos is just around the corner from where i live and it won best local restaurant from gordon ramsey http://www.salvos.co.uk/ (also has its own deli next door where you can buy italian bread/meat/cheese etc..)
Good food in Amsterdam?......lol......the place is nothing but a fair ground in my eyes. Because of that, I love it in short bursts. That generic beer everywhere pisses me off more than the food quality, tbh.

A Fried English breakfast wont have soda bread, potato bread in it, though i highly suggest you try and get your hands on some and try it, you will not regret it.
they are nearly the same thing

Enit!!!
There is no need to fry toast!..... other than that, PUKKA! ............mmmmmmmm, bacon!
Its fried soda bread wilykat, though I have been known to fry some bread and throw in in as well.
Looking at the PIC once again, I would have to say that everything but the mushrooms and slice of tomato has to go.
As I stated, if people took a little time to (re)search, along with venturing outside the Centrum, they will find many good/great places to eat. It all comes down to what one wants. Simple really, too easy even. Anything else is lazy whining. Just saying...

Happy eating...
Agree with Uncle Ron.
Jordaan is full of excellent restaurants.
One of my must is Divan on Elandsgracht, an amazing turkish restaurant.
Or go to De Belhamel for a great french/italian dinner in an amazing art deco atmosphere.
And there's lot more...
