Hey, not 100% sure this is the right location for this but anyways
When I visited Amsterdam last time all I managed to get round to smoke was bud( just to many to choose from ) and I'm not able to get hash where i live, i understand there are basically 2 types ish of hash(blond and dark) but other than that i have very little idea, could someone please recommend some hash and the coffee shop to get it from, also would i be better getting a small pipe to smoke it with or what?#

Bushdoctor prices are way up there! 40-55 euro a gram
Dampkring Riffman hash price go from 10-15 and even 20 euro!
Bleu birds got some nice paki indi hashes
Katsu sogouda ice crystal clear price start at 10euro to 20 euro for the ice hahs
Green house ice hash at 18euro is good start if you ever tried ice hash!

If you're talking about "regular hash" (ie made with standard methods, not ICO/Oil/Full Melt/BHO/...), there are blond and black, but they can be really different. For example, a black morrocan hash isn't the same at all as black afghan hash.

IMO what can be said is :

-blond hash are "always" head stoning, not a couchlocking effect but a warm head buzz
-black morrocan are more stony than blond hash, some of them can be devastating
-afghan/indian black hash are more of a head high, putting you into space
-red lebanon is like coke lol, uplifting and really energizing

Here you go with the hash you'll see the more in Amsterdam, IMO for the ico/oil/... their high depends a lot of the strain they were made from

Good question.... In all my trips I've never really smoked hash, it's something I should try the next time I'm over.

Hell yeah you're missing something, here in France it's really easier to score hash than weed but it's mostly morrocan, so when I'm in amsterdam I can have a blast with all those hash from all around the world !
Paki hash, nepalese, himalayan, ... Nothing tastes like those.

What's the best way to smoke hash when in a coffeeshop? is it worth me getting a pipe for the 4 days I'm there, if so do i need a special sort of pipe?

Most peeps generally work it into a joint then smoke the joint with the hash it. It can also be smoked using Hot Knives. Where you heat two knives and sandwich the hash and inhale the smoke. Can also be smoked I think through a bong and a pipe.

Here is something I found on another website, but don't credit me on the reliability, just thought it might help....

You can smoke your hash in a joint. Simply crumble up some hash and mix it in a joint with some bud or some tobacco. Smoke it like a regular joint, this method is inefficient but is a quick way to enjoy your hash with other people.
An efficient way to smoke your hash is by using hot knives. Get two knives and either put them on the element of an electric stove or use your lighter to heat them up. Once your knives are hot place a piece of hash in between the two knives (it’s good to let the person holding the knives use oven mitts or something to keep them from getting burned), the rest of the people not holding the knives use straws or pen tubes to suck up all the vapor/smoke.

You can also use a regular pipe or bong, but like a joint, it’s not very efficient to smoke it and lots of the hash is wasted.
My favorite way to smoke hash is to use an aluminum foil bowl. First get some aluminum foil and make a small bowl out of it. Use the edge of a book or some equally reliable device to hold the aluminum foil bowl so that way you can use your lighter underneath it. Get a straw or a pen tube, and place some hash in your aluminum foil bowl. Use your lighter to heat up your bowl and your hash, at the same time use your straw to suck up the vapors as it is being vaporized. This is a fairly easy way to smoke hash, once you get the hang of it, naturally it is better if a friend can help you, but you can also do this on your own. It wastes less hash than other methods, and you can get some really good hits with a fairly simple and easy smoking method.

These are just a couple ways you can easily smoke hash, without wasting a ton, and the main point is to get creative. If you’re creative you’re bound to find several different great ways to smoke your hash, so you always have something new to experiment with.

yeah.. lots of confusing info here. to keep it simple:
hash is generally a hard/crumbly piece of cannabis resin. the colour depends on the type/origin of plant, method of manufacture, etc. It's a bit different in taste and effect to weed but just as enjoyable- even more so, with really good hash. My favourite way to smoke it is crumbled up finely and mixed with tobacco in a spliff. This is also the traditional dutch way to smoke it.

ice hash, oil, bubble hash, etc are completely different, usually much stronger and more expensive. You're probably best experimenting with traditional hashes before exploring these new goodies.

Glass pipes are most accepted, but any small pipe will do. Your choice.

To use in joints, either fleck the hash or roll into snakes. The heat from your hands will make hash more pliable. Flecking means using your thumbnail or whatever to chip off small pieces.

Personally, I smoke hash from a glass pipe, using a small bed of bud, then adding as much hash as I can stand. Often, I'll hit the bed prior to adding the hash, just to get that pure taste from the first hit of cannibas, usually primo GA gear. I also use a small coin to cover the bowl so it doesn't sit there and burn away when I smoke alone.

There's also powder-type hash known as kif, crystals, gunpowder, etc. Much easier to add to joints or a bowl. You just sprinkle in as much as needed.
