First time in the Dam

Hi folks, I'm heading to the Dam tomorrow and was hoping for a little bit of advice.

Been once before but it was a total haze (I wonder why...?)

Anyway, this time I am going with my missus and am staying at the Okura (just to the south of De Pijp).

I have 2 main questions....

1)I do smoke but I'm a bit worried getting KO'd by stong stuff in Amsterdam coffeeshops....I will most likely opt for pre rolled J's but am not sure what variety to ask for.

2)If I was to take my missus to a coffeshop which one should I go for? An upscale one would be preferred (if possible)

Cheers folks.

Second post here :) BUT.. I took my wife a year or so, and although it sounds a bit cliche, I took her to one of the bulldog cafes. It wasn't as overwhelming ;) and she felt a bit more relaxed. Mellow Yellow is quite nice too.. much more local and not such a touristy feel as its a bit out of the center. Great staff and great smoke... stick to the sativa dominant strains as they will give you more of a body high.. look for the hazes if you are looking at pre-rolled. :)

Have a great time!!

It best not to buy pre rolls as you don't really know whats in them. If you can't roll ask the budtender or one of the customers, someone will help. Sativa strains get you high, Indica strains get you stoned. White Widow, Northern Lights, Orange Bud, or Jack Herer are less potent and maybe more your speed. Also asking the budtender is usually the best idea. Most know there product very well. The misses should be fine in most shops. If you're after non-touristy shops, head further out of the Centrum. Paradox, Katsu, 1e Hulp, and Yo-Yo fit the bill. Basjoe or Solo are in the thick of things but still quiet enough. Enjoy your trip!

Peace,
Balou

Little late to post you.

You can check the Whos In Town page for who else is in town and any Toke & Talks planned.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Enjoy
