first trip to the dam

i will be in the dam in june after a month long safari in africa. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. canal rides, bike tours, coffee shop tours, local highlights,etc. any ideas? thanks

I wouldnt do a bike ride if i were you man! being a 1st timer,The roads are wild mate! really wild ,But yea get the train out to bijlmer & visit the Ajax arena if you have a spare half day! its worth it,KD.

Cycling is the best way to see the city. If you are confident on a bike, you'll be alright. I find it scarier being a pedestrian myself!
