golden rule of FEBO
I recall trying 1 of them once late at night on the way back to our diggs as simply put I had the munchies and cound'nt be arsed waiting to get served anywere!.
It was 1 of those Bernard Mathews like turkey drummers things!. Dont know what was in it but it was a kind of minced beef texture and flavour to it. It tasted pretty good.
To me food tasting good late at night when pissed and stoned means you'd never buy it at any other time of the day!.

I've vowed never to eat at one of these again.
On a late night last night in amsterdam, stoned off my face must of had about 3 of those breadcrumb drumer type things in the space of like 2/3 hours. Boy did I get a shock at like 3am walking back to the hotel,I found myself running back cos I needed to shit so bad. Was runny as hell too.
FEBO= Bad Diarrhoea
Never Again People!!!

I've had some fine apple dumplings in the square at liedsplien, when the ice skating rink comes out.
Mostly, I've figured out that if you want to eat something decent, after you have been out, and nothing is open.....you go to the grocers, get some provisions BEFORE you go out....you can pick up some yogurt and stuff for b'fast, too.....I just leave it on the windowsill of my room.....keeps stuff nice and chilly.....especially in november !!!!!
Now, thats called eating on the cheap, and saving my precious euros for more important things

Believe it or not, FEBO is an Amsterdam tradition. FEBO is named after a street named after Ferdanand Bols a famous Dutch artist. The original FEBO is still on that street near the Albert Cuyp Market. They do make their food fresh daily and it is really quite good. It is very Dutch and if you don't understand or are not used to Dutch food then it might not appeal to some. But I love it.Kermit wrote:The golden rule of FEBO is DONT DO IT!!
The worst food you could eat in the Dam. Should be shut down or at least carry a health warning![]()
This is of course my personal opinion so sorry if i have offende any1.

that original one on ferd-bolstraat is remarkably clean aswell compared to more central outlets.
the old dutch couple who run it seem to have alot of pride in the place.
brings a smile to my face when i see them, its like they never leave the place between my trips, definately one of those AAHHH, im in amsterdam moments.
