Pro-Smokers Mini Weekend Trip
Hi guys, hope all is well!
I am a seasoned smoker, love my weed and hash above any other recreational substances and...let's say due to responsibilities, my trips to the Dam have been drastically reduced, meaning that my last trip was almost 3 years ago.
So....it was me and two work colleagues this time round, and we are all smokers although I smoke a lot more than the others, they're not 'lightweights'.
I carried out some research on this site and a couple of other because TIME was of the essence....we arrived in the Dam on Sat 11th June at 8.30am and were due to leave at 6pm the following day (yes, yesterday!!). This was going to be an intense weekend of smoking some good shizzle, eating lots of junk and getting lots of belly laughs!
So, my research told me that the Dam had some fantastic strains out there, including Chocolope, Golden Soles, Tangerine Dream etc and I had put together a Hit List to work through, culminating in a huge pure joint of the best 5 strains as the last one before our fligh the next day.
Sat, 8.30am....we arrive at the Airport, fresh and ready to take on the day after a great flight with easy jet from luton, which ran to the second!! We get to central station and we make our way to Barneys.....then we discover Barneys Uptown across the road.....so we pop in and are greeted by 2 very friendly ladies, which always helps. Then we check the menu out, agreeing that the Irish Breakfast is the only option....and wow! Nice breakfast Barneys!! So, we wolf the breakfast down and I qucikly pop to Barneys over the road to grab some Tangerine Dream....I can honestly say this is a fantastic, juicy, fruity strain with a high that keeps going for a good couple of hours! (Bare in mind I only smoke pure joints, rolled with the thinnest paper, reverse-wrap so there is even LESS paper....or with a pipe). The TD was a great start to the weekend!!!
So we sat in Barneys Uptown from about 9am til 11.30ish, full-up with good food, drinking good coffee, smoking some lovely skunk and being served by friendly and cute women....what a perfect start to a weekend which promised so much, and delivered every bit of that promise and more!! Right, I am going back to bed now, but will be back to post the rest of the weekends events a bit later!!

Re: Pro-Smokers Mini Weekend Trip
So, after the Tangerine Dream had set us up for a great weekend, we went off in search of a place to lay our heads that night....it was a bit of a mission but in the end we found a room for 3 at the Delta hotel for 200 Euros. Decent room, clean and with a decent bathroom and shower...what more could we ask for? Ahhh, and the breakfast in the morning is top notch, so no complaints from us at all!
Room sorted, now off to smoke some more!! We went on to 420, got some lovely Blueberry, NY diesel and PArvati cream from ther....we were in such a beautiful hazy buzz! I wasnt overly impressed with the gear from 420, except for the Blueberry, NYD and PArvatti....the other strains just looked a bit 'tired', like they had been in stock for a little too long.
One of my accomplises then proceeded to pass out and prejectil vomit while in 420's, collapsing into a heap, which snapped us out of our buzz straight away. The 420 staff were really cool about this, helped him out and also helped us get our things together with the minimum of fuss. Scary shit for a second, but fucking hilarious after that when he recovered! So we decided to go back to our hotel for a bit (it was about 3pm) and chill, our mate could shower up and get ready for round 2.
Whilst waiting for our friend to "fix up", i put some more Tangering Dream in the pipe, followed by NYD and Blueberry...I was NICELY TOASTED!! At About 5pm, We then went into Cafe Ben, who supplied us with some lovely Cheese and Kandy Kush....fucking excellent!! We smoked a good 7 or 8 blunts in Ben, finishing off the 420 gear and then finishing off Bens gear too! Chilling in Bens was very cool, lots of laughs and ohhhhh my, that drink Mogu Mogu!!!
I am severely missing the Dam already!!! More to follow....just need to chill a bit more

Re: Pro-Smokers Mini Weekend Trip
SS67 and Doc G, many thanks, the pleasure is all mine! Now....where was I?.......
So....we left Cafe Ben, very slowly, about 9.30pm, absolutely BAKED. I forgot to mention that inbetween Barneys and Cafe Ben, I popped into The Rokerij (the one on the corner, near to the central station)....the (Thai) bud-tender there was very friendly and let us have a good look at the menu, whilst letting us have a good look and sniff of the buds and hash there....he had run out of big buddha cheese, and he recommended the AMG (never heard of this one before) as a good smoke which has a strong high, so naturally, we got 2 grams of that one and were not disappointed!! We also popped into Katsu, Voyagers, Betty Boo, Popeyes and Bas Joe to pick up a bag of their finest (mostly going by recommendations on here).....and then back to our room after grabbing some McD's....so its about 10.30pm, we have more than 5 different bags of top skunk, ice, hash EACH....and we are off to smoke and blaze that shizzle up.....I have to say that the feeling of elation, knowing you have got top quality smoke and good company to smoke it with is actually indescribable!!
I have to give a special mention to the bud-tenders this time round, a lot friendlier, more approachable and very informative this time round, rather than my last visit a couple of years back....long may this continue!!
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......time for a break....still feeling the effects!!
This time yesterday, I was smoking a pure joint made up of Tangerine Dream, Super Lemon Haze, Big Buddha Cheese, AMG, and Blueberry.....FUCK YEAH!!!
More to follow when Im back in the land of the living!!

Re: Pro-Smokers Mini Weekend Trip
Chelsea.S.S...I was like a kid in a sweet shop!! I only had, literally, 36 or so hours in the Dam, and I had to get through the strains I promised myself I would!!
Mogu Mogu is a delightful fruit juic drink with what felt at the time like jelly beans inside it!! Simply Magic!! Coffeeshop Ben was really cool, proper old-school, nice place to chill out and get baked. Lemon Haze, Northern Light Extreme and Caramello are all very highly recommended from Cafe Ben!
Marcinmarcin...maybe I didnt make it clear, we went to Voyagers and the other coffee shops I mentioned between around 11.30am and 2pm ish..."ISH" being the key-word!
Rufus...Mine and yours both mate!!
So....we're back at the hotel, it's about 10.30pm, I have on my person two double-cheeseburgers and a strawberry milkshake from Mcd's, plenty of good skunk, hash and ice....and plenty of water and 2 bottles of Strawberry Mogu-Mogu (please guys, get to Cafe Ben, or anywhere else that sells this drink and try it!!)
The rest of the evening was an absolute blur
but I did manage to write down, somehow, the best of the days smokes.....and cocktails
Tangerine Dream was the first blunt I rolled at the hotel, purely because that shizzle smashed my brains out in the morning...and I wanted more! It didnt disappoint at all...such a trippy, strong high which lasted for over an hour!!
The Blueberry from 420 was next, and I mixed that up with the Lemon Haze from Bens...and BANG!!!! A very potent cocktail which had me spinning!.....for atleast another hour....I was feeling myself getting ready to slump on my bed but remembering that my flight was leaving at 6pm the following day, I soldiered on! My next cocktail was, if i may say so myself, was an absolute knock out......Tangerine Dream, Lemon Haze, Blueberry, Caramello and Nortrhern Light Extreme....all I remember, very shadily, is jotting this down and passing out holding my McD's milkshake upright on my chest....the other two were long asleep before me....it was about 2am.....
Then I remember waking up about 6am, absolutely FUCKED, but also with a huge appetite for a big joint.....I couldnt be fucked to be specific about what I was smoking, so I just finished off the Blueberry from 420.....putting wayyyyy too much in but hey, I'm on hioliday!! So, smashed again, I passed out ten minutes later
I woke up at 7.30am, feeling very very elated and content (good smoke does that to me!) ..... Then proceeded to roll a big Lemon Haze joint with some AMG....mmmmmm, wake and bake is good!! Went downstairs for some breakfast....then back upstairs for a big joint of Big Buddha Cheese with some Caramello (a very potent and tasty mix)...it's now around 10am, I am feeling soooooo baked but yet the knowledge of having just 6 hours left in the Dam energises me enough to get in the shower, freshen up and head out for the remainder of my smoking adventure....
Today (sunday), I have The Grey Area to Visit, amongst others....
10.30am....fresh, dressed and ready to go....check out of the hotel, ready to maximise my time, so naturally I have the remaining bags of gear all mixed into one "Special Mix" (made up of over 10 strains!), I have one big joint pre-rolled for the walk....and we're off!!!!!
I had to be at the airport at 4.30pm, at the very latest...so, 6 hours to go......the clock was ticking, so I lit up that Bad Boy and made my way into the Beautiful City.....
Marcinmarcin...maybe I didnt make it clear, we went to Voyagers and the other coffee shops I mentioned between around 11.30am and 2pm ish..."ISH" being the key-word!

I have to say that after a day of smoking through over ATLEAST 12 different strains, my Top 3 for the Day:
1) Tangerine Dream: Fucking strong, great high, very very heady and the taste is supreme!!! Barneys 15Euros, 1 Gram
2) Blueberry: A Real Creeper!! Great taste and smooth smoke which is deceivingly strong, a high which gets stronger for about 45 mins- an hour. Warning: We got Blueberry from 4 different Coffeeshops....none of them even came CLOSE to the Blueberry from 420. Cant remember the price, I think 12 Euros for 1 Gram
3) Caramello: A lovely smoke from Cafe Ben. Goes well with any skunk and its taste is very smooth and, as the name suggest, has some very heavy caramel tones....and a beautiful, happy high. Cant remember the price...12 Euros 1 gram, I think

Nice reporting and thank you.
Glad you brought up Coffeeshop Ben - doesn't get a mention here too often but always worth a wander in.
Forms part of my (all the B's) late afternoon stumble. First to Betty Boop, short stagger to bar opposite for a Beer, then into Ben for a chill, finish with munchies next door but one at Burger Bar.
Mmmm!

Re: Pro-Smokers Mini Weekend Trip
So.....Day 2 starts to emerge...we check out of the hotel Delta and we decide that WHATEVER happpens, we MUST be in a cab by 4pm LATEST!!
So we head off towards the Grey Area....we decided against going there yesterday as this is a place where we have to approach with a clean palette!! So......we get to the Grey Area, only to find that it opens at 12pm....D'oh! Its ok though, we pitch up in the main area to the side where there are a couple of "proper" coffee shops and cafes....lots of seats outside, the sun is shining and it's 11.30am.....so, not long to go before Grey Area opens!! We grab a table quite far away from the madding crowd, and I proceed to roll a pure joint from my "Special Mix" bag....my philosophy in the Dam is if in doubt, light it up, cos someone will definately let you know if you gotta put it out! Basically, in my experience, thats all that has happened when I have lit up somewhere I shouldnt...I have only ever got the "sorry sir but you cant smoke that here"-type responses.....anyway, i digress....I DIDNT get that told to me at all here, although I did get a couple of funny looks from what looked like, generally, a very well-to-do crowd.
So.....I roll it, light it and smoke it with my 2-strong entourage, although as its a special mix, I do hig the spliff slightly
Now, as most of you will be able to testify, smoking good weed in the sun is a sure recipe for....a stronger buzz...the sun always seems to add that extra (beautiful?) edge to it!
As the haze (and indica) start to envelope me, I hear my alarm going off on my phone....yes, I DID set an alarm for 12pm....I really did not want to waste even a minute!!
Grey Area was like a fucking dream!! I Sooooooooo wish I went there yesterday, but hey, no regrets!! I had 4 hours (which, at the time, I had convinced myself was a huge window of time!) to smoke my way through some fantastic looking and smelling shizzle.....So, we got 1g of.....Chocolope, Casey Jones, Big Buddha Cheese, Silver Bubble and Golden Soles.......and then we decided to pop to Barneys Uptown again....great place to get stoned and enjoy some good quality coffee, fresh juices and tasty food.....all I can say is that the Chocolope was such a wonderful smoke, tasty, juicy, and surprisingly strong for a haze.....Casey Jones was a proper fucker!!!! That shit hit me hard and I loved every minute! Next up was the big buddha cheese, which looked and smelt much better than the BBC we got yesterday (cant remember from where now) but this stuff was excellent....such a beautiful smoke!! The Silver Bubble was also a great smoke and the Golden Soles got me sooooooooooo mellow....the taste was unbelievable....very heavy buzz, but very mellow.....nice!!!!
So....the moment I had been both dreading and looking forward to......it was 3pm.....and time to put together my
"Best of Dam Blunt"
I have to be very honest here and tell you that, off-hand, I dont remember all of the strains I had in this bad-boy, but I did jot them down in my note-pad....so I will be checking that out shortly and letting you all know.......needless to say, it blew my mind away (in a very very very good way!!!)
