i deliberatly choose thai style stuff as my staple mid week stuff. Cant see the problem.
In the dam theres plenty of thai/jamaican but i probably wouldnt bother. Find yourself a shop with a bud tender you like/trust whos willing to talk you through the menu. Explain your after something milder and you'll end up with a nice tasting bit of bud that wont ruin your day, whereas if u take the thai youll end up with a less decent tasting bit of weed that wont ruin your day.
Couple of years ago i used to swear by the white butterfly from rokerij for this same reason. Tasty, but manageable day time smoke, shame its not around anymore, but theres blatently something similar outhere.

Re: Thai weed
Thai was good stuff in my experience, about 20 years ago in UK. There was tons of it about in my old art college days and if you can get hold of the real deal, then I recommend it. I've not been able to get that same stuff from back then, but believe me, it was very nice, euphoric, clean, uplifting and more than pleasant.
I tried Tweede Kamers Thai, it looked the same stuff but just wasn't the same hit from years ago, but how do you know if you're getting the real deal or not or just some generic weed grown outside in less favourable conditions as opposed to where Thai weed is grown nearer the equator with a very long natural flowering cycle.
I've seen many posts about original Thai weed and the search for it and I know exactly what they mean. I've not been able to find the same stuff either from long ago.

Re: Thai weed
can get some awesome thai weed in the U.K it is absolutely beautiful strong as skunk but with a pure and clean high
Re: Thai weed
i agree. I used to be able to get some really nice Thaistick in London. It was always the usual red cotton stuff but certainly got me baked. As someone else said, really nice clean and uplifting high.
For a nice daytime smoke i tend to stick with one of the Purple varieties and as the day goes on mix it up with something else. Ive had nice purples from Popeye and Rockland.
Another option would surely be some nice orange bud if you can find it. Maybe bubblegum???
Just my opinion so make of it what you will.

Its still around in the mids. With red or green cotton. Red is always better quality.djreign wrote:i agree. I used to be able to get some really nice Thaistick in London. It was always the usual red cotton stuff but certainly got me baked. As someone else said, really nice clean and uplifting high.

Big pure spliff of one of these in the day time is nice.

Re: Thai weed
This UK thai sounds nice, anyone want to send me some.
I would usually recommend outdoor from Yo-yos, but the latest batch I got from there was not cured properly.

No that post was started, by me, to get advice on how to post 'souvenirs' from my then upcoming trip, back to the UK. Don't assume it's a reflection on how good the weed you can get here is, particularly as you don't live here - it's just nice to have a bit of variety from time to time.Marco wrote:I am making the assumption that the weed market in the UK is similar to other countries where there are no coffeeshops, in other words, often times one has to settle for something like Thai brick. My point being, why do that in the Dam.TRANCE wrote:What are you trying to say here mate!Marco wrote:Generally thai here is brick weed, total crap. Smokeable if you are in the UK, but don't waste your time on it here.
I am guessing this a bit based on topics like this one with 38 pages and counting.

Re: Thai weed
There is a lot of it about right now in London mate, 40 notes a half ounce. The red string stuff is ok, if it's not dry. There was a banging batch of some stuff with dark blue, nearly black string about just before that, same price - barely a seed in it and quite sticky when broken up, nearly as good, but not quite as the high grade from the Caribbean that pops up here occasionally.The_Kushler wrote:Its still around in the mids. The last thai weed I had gave me a banging headache and explosive stomach aches, now I avoid it

It sucked, but I'll give it another go in August, you guys have probably been smoking longer than I've even been alive so I trust your advice.TRANCE wrote:Because you didn't have the real deal.Joshuadrooney wrote:The last thai weed I had gave me a banging headache and explosive stomach aches, now I avoid it

Without sounding condescending and honest as the day is long (as always) I highly recommend authentic Thai, but it has to be the real deal here. I've never been able to get it in the UK or A'dam for the past 10 years.

Ha ha, so after all your righteous indignation, it turns out I was right, Thai these days is garbage. ahahahahahahaTRANCE wrote:Without sounding condescending and honest as the day is long (as always) I highly recommend authentic Thai, but it has to be the real deal here. To the OP, all the Thai I have had here blows, and I have tried it 10 times at least. I too remember what good Thai was like in the 80s and you will not find it here.
