For the same reason as you, the first joint I smoked in A'dam, last year, was Katsu Thai. 3 grams for 10 E. Yes it was musty brickweed, but it had a very strong, uplifting Thai high. I also bought Black Widow, but saved it for later for obvious reasons. I only smoked one more joint of the Thai....I'm not used to smoking musty bud..but there were 9 seeds in it that I saved and brought home. Big Thai seeds like you'd occasionally find in Thai sticks in the 70's. Haven't used them yet, just wanted them for breeding...if they don't herm.

I think you'll struggle to find real Thai weed like that in Amsterdam. Most of the stuff sold as Thai is just cheap import weed aimed at beginners.
You never know though, there might be a place someone knows of with the real deal... But I doubt it.

Blackstar has alot of import bud's, but it isn't fresh at all.

I have never come across fresh Thai (or Durban, Swazi etc), but if you do manage to find some while you are here please let me know !

this was covered a year or two ago somewher here, I remember chipping in, and in short the real mc coy is not in dam anymore, its a similar story to proper Jamaican or sess, and in fact its hard to get proper trippin your tits off thai sticks in thailand either nowadays, they didnt control the growing/phenos carefully enough from region to region. Up until last year I had concluded that the best thai to be had was from Katsu, it was much better and stronger than the blue/yellow/red string weed we have in the Uk that is called thai (that isnt, it comes mainly from other surrounding countries like laos). 20 years ago I used to live near the border of Thailand in malaysia, and although we had some blinding bright green thai smuggled in cars coming through, despite the death penalty for smugglers, it wasnt the real trippy stuff either. Im sure in some remote northern villages in the opium region beyond Chang mai it still exists, but thats a whole 'nother subject..

Appreciate your knowledge on this.

I've always liked Thai I've got in London (as you say, red, yellow string etc) and it's nice to break the he y stuff with this in amsterdam. Will pop to Katus on Thursday when I arrive.

I never got to try these but from my notes from last trip I was supposed to try Coffee Shop Anyday to ask for Jamaican Highgrade and Durban Poison.

Barney's have Laughing Buddha, listed as Thai x Jamaican Sativa. Never tried it though.
