Re: which cool bands have you seen live ???
I have seen many but these I will never forget.
Iggy Pop & the Stooges (Had the undescrible pleassure to get up on stage and sing both Search & Destroy AND I want to be your dog with Iggy. Even brought my g/f up on stage which as pretty cool since it as her biggest idol. The guards wouldnt let me up first and jumped me but Iggy started hitting them with the microphone cable and yelling "-Let him up here you fucking nazi-pigs"
Cypress Hill at melkweg in Amsterdam 2009.
Hiiiiigh as a moofooker
Ramones
I think I was around 10-12 years old... aww so good memories.
But the best nights I ever had in my life is all the rave parties I been on.
No concert in the orld can ever beat a 3 days psytrance rave in the forest, superhigh on acid laughing gas, just dancing away 3 nights while using the fourth dimension (fifth if u wanna be precise and count time as the fourth dimension which it really is) But time never really existed on lsd so I dont know hehe

Re: which cool bands have you seen live ???
This was a real tough one...to remember
!
Although I have seen many live shows over the years but the three most memorable moments for me came when Sir Miles Davis took the stage in 1989, 1990 and his final concert on August 25th, 1991 at the Hollywood Bowl about a month before he passed.
The only two concerts I can honestly say I didn't enjoy (and subsequently ended up walking out mid-show) were; The Rolling Stones (1989?) - this band was simply boring and past its prime back then, I can only imagine seeing them currently if they still tour
; and Leftover Salmon - I guess I just didn't get what this band was all about because those around us were totally freaking out when they took the stage, we walked out after 18 minutes
.
Anyway, I'm sure I missed a few but according to my memories and stubs this is what I came up with.

Re: which cool bands have you seen live ???
I guess I'm the Forest Gump of rock, had the opportunity back in the early 70's to work with an AM radio station that promoted concerts in a 450 seat theater. Both ThinLizzy and ACDC were playing there first USA gigs in the Leigh valley area of PA. At that time record Co's could no longer give payola directly to the radio station but the bands could play for a promoter, as the bands rode into the area they would hear there music saturated on a AM radio station.(remember back then AM was all the cars had or 8tracks
