Re: which cool bands have you seen live ???
Willjay, my father was a maniac! He was always listening to music way too loud, (he loves jazz, R & R, avant garde stuff) We had to tell him to turn it down, we're trying to do our homework.
He used to drag my mom to concerts till she said that all the pot smoke in the venue made her tired and sleepy!
He is going to be 85 next week and has definitely slowed down. The music (Floyd, Yes, Vangelis, Moody Blues....) is a bit lower now but he is still playing and singing! He still hates the Grateful Dead, though....(except Terrapin Station). Calls them the Graceless Dead.... Party on Dad!!!!

With the emphasis on cool.
The Cramps - Lux was the best frontman ever. RIP. Ivy the sexiest guitarist.
The Fall - unrelenting, leftfield, always a surprise, always the same.
Theatre of Hate - nothing like em before or since, dark, epic, intelligent.
Carter USM - early gigs plain mayhem, so much pun.

Excellent, he was such a great guitarist. There was a group of us shrooming in front of the stage acting all goofy and dancing, Hedges was digging it.ed the head wrote:Lots of great bands! How was Michael Hedges live?
