Excellent, he was such a great guitarist. There was a group of us shrooming in front of the stage acting all goofy and dancing, Hedges was digging it.
Yes, thanks.

He was an amazing talent and I regret never seeing him live. Thanks again!

Fairport Convention - nice
Courtney Pine - rubbish
UB40 - ok
Moody Blues - good
Tragically Hip - very good
BB King - disappointing
Ozric Tentacles - far out
Spanglehead (many times) - great local band that never made it big
Jamiroqui - ok
Black Crowes - pretty good
Robert Plant - cool
Kasabian - ok
The Egg - loved it
Lonnie Liston Smith - awfull
Richard Thompson - boring
Stereo MCs - good vibe
Roy Harper - intimate gig
John Mayall - truly excellent
Bruce Springstneen - disappointing
Crosby Stills & Nash - wonderful (especially Steven Stills guitar playing)
Terry Callier - chilled & lovely
John Mclaughlin & Jonas Hellborg - absolutely stunning & incredible

I am not much of a concert person I have only been to 3. AC/DC all 3 times.
Aug. 28 1986 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota This was crazy loud they cracked the hell out of the brick arena and after that concert the arena put a decible limit on concerts held there, when they shot the cannons off in For Those About To Rock the building shook.
June 23 2009 in Amsterdam, Netherlands All I can say is it was awsome.
April 17 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa It was there last North American tour date. To be honest after seeing them in Amsterdam in the Ajax Arena it kinda sucked watching them in a little basketball arena. The only good part was I was center stage Row 2.

r.e.m. - the green tour
Kongresshalle, Frankfurt
June 28, 1989

http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rem/1989/ ... 68fde.html

This was a transitional time for the band, moving from their jangly blur (the way I prefer them) to a more rocking sound.
I was the only idiot there in a business/monkey suit, 'cause I had to go to the show straight from work.
It was a GI-rich crowd, as the band wasn't really well-known to the Deutschlanders at the time.
They are now.

Eric Clapton's 2010 Crossroads in Chicago was the best gathering of incredible guitar players at one time I've been to. We go to lots of shows too many to list but Crossroads was the best. Thought about going to the one in NYC this year at Madison Square Garden but it seems to be about the same people playing each time and we have them all on dvd so we passed on going.

I've seen Aerosmith (before they went pop), KISS, Paul McCartney, Joan Jett and a few others, but this guy was my favorite. Watched him peform in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2002 at the International Book Fair.

This is Compay Segundo, a member of the famous Cuban band, Buena Vista Social Club

Next trip: November 2013
