"It would turn the clock back 30 years when people bought their weed in the streets and there was no control on public safety or public health", (Amsterdam) mayor Eberhard van der Laan reportedly said.
"This is another example of 'symbolic politics' of the new government and a case of creating problems where none exist," read a statement on the website of famed coffee shop The
Bulldog.

Its places like Bulldog, Barneys ,Greenhouse etc that will be most affected by this ban cos I'm pretty dam sure that 99.9% of their clientele would be tourists...I doubt many locals would pay their exhorbitant prices...

the atmosphere in Bulldog was cool when we went, the weed wasnt anything special...

Nothing wrong with Bulldog Palace when you can buy chocolope on a Sunday morning and get smashed with breakfast for 6 euros !
