Thursdays are late shopping days. Make that fit into your plans as the third day.

Many hotels offer a discount on stays of 2 nights or more therefore much better value
Better still take a mate instead who is well up for it - like a new friend from this forum who would really appreciate it
Good luck with your quest.

Plan out an itinerary, with your wife in mind, there are quite a few markets, which have c/shops close to them, tie in romantic meals in restaurants where you have not experienced yet, check out the listings to see if there's a particular band/music she is interested in,even suggest the comedy club, romantic boat trips, visits to museums, make her feel that the trip is based around herself, romance is the key.

So what sort of itinerary would people suggest we do for 3 days? If I can just get her wasted once I am sure she will wanna stay wasted! Argh...Back to the itinerary suggestions!

Thanks in advance

just book for 3 days, then on the 2nd night pretend to get a call/text from the airlines saying flights delayed till tomorrow...lol Nak eff all that just tell her the truth and book for 3 days once you've already payed she'll go along..Good Luck!
I went for 15 days last March and it was great but cold and too short, I couldn't imagine going for just 2-3 days but I am coming from the USA. This september a full 30 days in the dam yay!

Trust me when i say you will never be too far away from a coffee shop,re wasted either ensure it is a giggly high type strain or a space cake,[make sure you ask bud tender advice and don't be shy shopping around]You are gonna be there when there should be reasonable weather absolute brilliant for sitting out on the squares with a cold beer and a spliff and watching the world go by,means you can also spend your time outside more so than in a coffee shop, which some non smokers prefer .Quite hard giving advice but start checking out the Amsterdam tourist info,if you find something that is cool then show it to her,it is a cool city, and the other thing is include your wife in the decisions so it feels as if she is organizing it.

I would recommend the van Gogh museum, but you need to go early or waste a
lot of time queueing.

Maritime museum is worth a look too.

Grab a guide book, you'll quickly find more things than can be done in two days.
Also take a look at the iAmsterdam site to see what events are on while you are
there.
You will need a couple of weeks by the end of that :D
