From July 23 to September 4 our metros will not be able to use the metro tunnel between Central Station and Amstel Station. The City of Amsterdam is working on the safety features in the tunnel.
So how do I travel between Central Station and Amstel Station?
Shuttle bus 59: Central Station to Amstel Station v. v.
This bus stops near the metro stations Waterlooplein, Weesperplein and Wibautstraat, which are closed. The shuttle buses regretfully can not serve Nieuwmarkt, as the streets are too narrow. The number of passengers the bus can accommodate is limited compared to the metro.

Take the first overground train from the station.

You would have to buy a train ticket versus the shuttle is included with a GVB pass.Joshuadrooney wrote:Balou wrote:From July 23 to September 4 our metros will not be able to use the metro tunnel between Central Station and Amstel Station.
