"The Curse" by Josh Ritter (Video by Liam Hurley)

Folk song, great narrative, cool puppeteering. My geeky heart goes pitter pat :D

Really great, thanks!
Going to look for this album.
Love all the new folk!
Check out some Laura Marling, she is tops of the new folk artists to me.
She gets compared to Bob Dylan alot, some killer lyrics.

I love Laura Marling!

Also, if you're looking at more Josh Ritter, here's my other favorite song of his: http://youtu.be/kqLssKusGzM

Another favorite folk (ish) band of mine is The Decemberists:

Very familliar with Decemberists, been trying to con some folks on this site to give them a try in the "whats everyone listening to" thread :).
I like all there albums and often listen to nothing but them an entire day through.
Have you heard Bon Iver yet ?

I like Bon Iver too- Skinny Love is a favorite of mine. http://youtu.be/UrMmr1oMPGA

If you ever get a chance to see The Decemberists live- they put on great great live shows. I've seen them three times in person, the last being on their Hazards of Love tour at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, and I still dream about that show. If you can still see them in a smaller venue, it's even better.

Thanks! For the recommendations. Yay for new music to listen to today, I'm not actually familiar with most of those folk.
