Cannabis Cup different than summer crowds?

Got a trip booked from Nov 16th to the 23rd. People have been telling me to expect large crowds. I've been to Amsterdam before in Aug of 2005 and was wondering if the Cannabis Cup would be much worse then the summer crowds?
