Help with Excel?

Post by MOFOFUNK »

Well, sorry to bring work to these pages, but I'm stuck and this is a last resort! Need some help with Microsoft Excel if anyone is pretty clued up on it.

Basically, many people use a spreadsheet I manage, and it needs to be shared so we can all edit it, great, I'm ok with that. Someone keeps unticking the 'Allow changes by more than one user at the same time' option (found under TOOLS >> SHARE WORKBOOK) and then staying logged on to the sheet and going home; so when anyone else tries to go in to edit it, they can't because its been left open and 'locked for editing'! All i want to do, is be able to stop people (apart from me) un-sharing the bookbook; how can I do this?

Hope someone can help a stonner in distress.

Cheers

Ash

Tools>>Protection>>Protect and Share Workbook. Check the box and set a password. That should keep anyone from making changes to the settings.

Peace
